depends on which side of the street you are on.... he definitely has some bridges to rebuild, replace or completely start over. and for as coming home he is about as much Miller as Bleach is....He's coming home. It's about time!
i guess the real issue i have is how it was done. we did not even advertise it out, we could have gotten several applications and had some discussion on. it was never open to any one else its like here it is and take it or else. yes he went to Miller and graduated and that is where it ends. he went to several area schools and had several opportunities to return but did not due to whatever reason he decided on.. now we have several underclassman coming up and now he decides to make his return? there is a bitter pill with some of Miller faithful that he has to address with since they have seen how he has treated Miller when coaching against them... and yes i know changed was needed but the way it was done i have to question on.He went to Miller and graduated from Miller. As far as rebuilding bridges I couldn't care less. I know he has won everywhere he has went. His kids always play hard for him. I guess we could of stayed put and just got accustomed to winning 1 or 2 games a year.

That is really sad if East Newton is now open. If I remember correctly, last season they won a game or 2 and were competitive in several. On the surface, it looked like things might be getting turned around for a program that had been down for awhile.Such a weird move, wonder why you would leave the Newt for Miller?
But I think the biggest thing that people are missing in all of this is.... East Newton is now open..
The sad part to me is the coming senior class will now have 4 head coaches during their time in high school. Its tough having a new head coach every year you are in high school. Hard to be able to build anything. That is really sad if East Newton is now open. If I remember correctly, last season they won a game or 2 and were competitive in several. Wow I knew they had turned over some but hard to believe they have turned over that much. The sad part to me is the coming senior class will now have 4 head coaches during their time in high school. They had to know lasalle would bail as soon as some talent showed up at a job he could get. That's what he does. Pretty easy when someone else does all the coaching up before you get there. The sad part to me is the coming senior class will now have 4 head coaches during their time in high school. the eighth grade and freshman boys have been very successful in the past. This year's quarterback, running back and a few lineman that started varsity was freshman..Must be some talent coming.
Miller has won 2 games or less 3 of the last 4 years but it should be easy for him cause of all the good coaching up they have received?Marionville was not winning either when he got there. I guess I don't understand that logic.
absolutely.. looking for some great battles in the next few years... and in basketball you can add Golden City...Pierce City has a great group of youngsters too. Between Miller, Scratch, and PC the SRVC will have some talent coming through the next few seasons..
Uhh. what title? 4 team SRVC?The spread is gone and defense is back! Miller will contend for the title for the forseeable future.
Last I checked there were at least 7. We have been getting 5th to 7th recently. Miller has some STRONG groups coming through.Uhh. what title? 4 team SRVC?
No matter what offense you run people in the community want the opposite. When your spread they want you to run more, when your a running team they ask why are we not spread throwing it more. The spread is gone and defense is back! Miller will contend for the title for the forseeable future.

I had heard similar info. In my opinion, he is a good coach, his teams play very hard for him.I've heard he was waiting on Baldwin to leave and then took the Marionville job Thinking Baldwin was returning. Then 2 weeks later, Baldwin goes to Neosho. Couldn't really back out at that point.
