Michael Porter declares for NBA Draft

I certainly wish him nothing but the best. Things didn't go exactly as planned at Mizzou but he was instrumental in building excitement and restoring a downtrodden program. He'll represent us well in the NBA. Hopefully he can get healthy and have a great career.

and Mizzou's luck with top notch athletes through history, continues. I can't say I blame him, but had hoped he would play one more year since his dad is an assistant coach.

Is Jontay going to declare next? Thought I saw that he was projected as a late-first rounder
I believe he will leave as well. Can't really blame a guy for setting himself up for life. It likely would benefit him overall to come back and gain some experience and needed strength, could be a force if he waits a year. I respect his decision which ever way he goes.

Reactions: Missouri Kid
Probably not for anyone not named Porter. They could have dad for an assistant coach and neither of his kids playing there.
I would not expect Michael Sr. to be a coach for Mizzou next year if both of his sons leave.

I would not expect Michael Sr. to be a coach for Mizzou next year if both of his sons leave however Porter Sr. is the 9th highest paid asst. coach in college basketball. Sr has one year of men college basketball experience. It would be difficult for Porter Sr. to find another job paying what Missouri is paying.

If Porter Sr. leaves who will be in Columbia next season
