I have several qualms with these rankings, but I'll address them below.

CLASS 1
1. Winona
2. Bismarck
3. Leopold
4. Santa Fe
5. St. Vincent
6. Green Ridge
7. Osceola
8. Sparta
9. Bernie
10. Sacred Heart

CLASS 2
1. St. Paul Lutheran (Concordia)
2. Fatima
3. Lutheran (St. Charles County)
4. Liberty (Mountain View)
5. Strafford
6. Woodland
7. Fair Grove
8. Arcadia Valley
9. Valle Catholic
10. Adrian
Also Considered: Crane, Clever, Portageville

CLASS 3
1. Helias Catholic
2. St. Francis Borgia
3. St. Pius X (Festus)
4. Villa Duchesne
5. Lutheran South
6. Dexter
7. St. Pius X (Kansas City)
8. North County
9. Duchesne
10. Windsor (Imperial)
Also Considered: Logan-Rogersville, Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau), Perryville, Pleasant Hill

CLASS 4
1. Liberty
2. Ozark
3. Lee's Summit West
4. St. Joseph's Academy
5. Lafayette (Wildwood)
6. Lee's Summit
7. Francis Howell
8. Nixa
9. Cor Jesu Academy
10. Carl Junction
Also Considered: Nerinx Hall

In Class 1, I would switch Bernie and St. Vincent, seeing as how the Lady Mules defeated the Lady Indians 25-23, 25-23 in the SEMO Dig for Life Challenge. All the Southeast teams should be ranked higher than any of the other ones in Class 1, seeing as how the level of competition is not as strong in Class 1 in other parts of the state as it is in Southeast Missouri.

In Class 2, there's absolutely no way Woodland should be a state-ranked team, let alone sixth. I would rank Arcadia Valley and Valle Catholic above Woodland. Not sure about the other teams on there, but Woodland should not be on the list.

In Class 3, I think Windsor should be higher. Other than that, Class 3 looks about right.

In Class 4, I thought Cor Jesu Academy defeated St. Joseph's Academy already this season? If that's the case, the Lady Chargers should be higher than the Lady Angels.

My KC area thoughts...

Class 4
Good call on Liberty. They're undefeated and have done everything asked of them, including beating Ozark head-to-head. I think LSW might be a little high. They're very good, but have had several close matches, and lost a bad one to LS North. Lee's Summit may be too high also. They've lost 5 matches already, and didn't make the Gold bracket at the LS North tourny last week. Lee's Summit North might deserve a mention, along with Platte County. PC's playing very well, they're 12-1, with their only loss being a decent match vs Liberty.

Class 3
Helias is a well deserved #1. They're going to be tough in class 3. Pius (KC) is too high. They lost quite a bit from last year, and have already lost to a couple of class 3 KC schools (O'Hara and P. Hill). That being said, they're still the odds on favorite to make the Final Four from the weak (sorry, but true) northwest quarter. Keep an eye on Savannah though. Last I heard they're still undefeated, with a nice win over class 2 Fatima. Pleasant Hill (11-1-1) should be ranked. They beat Pius (KC) and Lee's Summit, and gave Liberty (15-0-1) the only blemish on their record. Not in KC, but it's a joke not having Logan-Rogersville (19-1) ranked. Their only loss was 2-1 to Ozark. They should be top 5.

Just my opinions

New Haven should be on the list

New Haven is Class 1 and not even on the list. They took consolation in the gold division in SEMO beating Bernie so pretty sure they should be above Bernie in the rankings. Other than Cape Notre Dame they beat everyone else at the Dig for Life. They also took #2 ranked Borgia to 3 sets on Borgia's home court.

The competition at the Class 1 level might not be as high in other parts of the state but the 2, 3 and 4 are and that is the size of schools New Haven plays.

Re: New Haven should be on the list

Agree about New Haven. I watched them play Bernie at the SEMO tournament and they had one girl, not sure of her name but she was #9, who pretty much won the game for them. I also think Bernie should be higher on the list since they beat St. Vincent, but what do I know? Class 1 competition is extremely weak throughout the state save for the southeastern quadrant (minus the Bootheel): Eminence, Winona, Lesterville, Bismarck, Bernie, Leopold, Advance, St. Vincent are always the dominant teams.

Ste.Gen. is hot won 10 in a row and beat Valle and Park Hills on back to back nights on the road. MAAA Tournament should be fun!!
