Media Rankings, Picks etc

I haven't seen any media rankings, typically there is a pre-season poll right? Did they stop doing that this year? Also the KOAM pigskin preview moved to an online only format, pretty thin in content, and the O-Zone appears to no longer be doing the weekly picks and associated show that they used to put out every wednesday or thursday for football in SWMO.

Is all of this stuff casualties of media consolidation and staffing and content cuts? Or was I just the only person that enjoyed it?
 
They can't do a preseason media poll when the Class and districts are not released until today. I expect to see a poll by next Tuesday

Makes sense. Another reason to get these out sooner, lol.

Also I kind of miss the "Power Rankings" Ozone used to do even though I never really understood them.
 
St Louis region does a power poll with small and big schools. They make no sense other than saying these are the power house teams of the St Louis region but could easily be destroyed by a rural Missouri team or one from KC.
 
8-man has the advantage here, our preseason poll was out on Monday. It’ll be a couple weeks until the other media polls are out.
 
Wow. No Mound City in the preseason polls. When’s the last time that happened?
they’re one of the programs that consistently have 28-32 kids out and have won A LOT of 8 man state championships.

This board has a WAY better feel for rankings than any of the pre-season media ones. They are laughable.

This is only the third year of the 8-man media poll. MC was #1 in the preseason poll the last two years. They won state in 2019 and injures killed their season last year. They only received one vote this year.

Who there is saying they could easily destroy rural Missouri teams?
