The only Lamar players to make first OR second team were two o-linemen and two d-lineman...
That’s laughable!![]()
Just noticing that the coach of the year went to the coach of the championship team in every case but one. Was coach Rod somehow not worthy this year?

Missed that! Totally deserving Junior selection (*should* play college ball).Lamar also had their middle linebacker chosen.
Wind was non factor in that game, dying down in the 4 th qt. Their QB had a cannon, wind did not affect him in any way to those of us who were there. They had the wind right before halftime and the determining factor had nothing to do with the wind but it was the WC D.Class 4 Coach of the Year was awarded to the Strong Winds...that kept PC from putting up 21 points a half on Webb.
To say the wind was a non factor is ignorant. It very obviously was. Webb's D was the main factor, but the wind was the 2nd biggest factor. A windy day is a HUGE advantage for Webb in that matchup.Wind was non factor in that game, dying down in the 4 th qt. Webb's best passing plays of the game were against the wind, they scored two td against the wind and PC scored their last td and two point conversion, you guessed it against the wind. The reason the score was low was WC defense, and the main issue WC had was how good and well the coached the PC team was. Didn't follow PC much thru the year or how they were doing but by this game they were tough as nails and as good as any team Ive seen WC play in a semi final in several years. So the wind, just stop! I must say that was some very good stink bait you've been throwing out since that game though.
Agree saying wind non factor was not correct, it was to a point but like you said it didn't change the outcome of the game, just got tired of seeing joey of no return use it to say its the reason WC won. I assure you JRod would say the problem that day was not the wind but playing a well coach team. You can call me whatever you want, Ive been called much worse. Where you there that day? PC QB had 300 yds passing against one of the best D in class 4. I will just plead ignorance, but the way their QB threw the ball with the wind or without didn't seem to bother him at all. He was terrific. Of the 5 td scored that day, 3 into the wind which I stated died way down in the 4th.To say the wind was a non factor is ignorant. It very obviously was. That said, I don't think it necessarily changed the final outcome, but it affect the number of points scored.
By saying that you didn't follow PC throughout the year, you have already ruled out your ability to say if the wind affected the game because you aren't able to tell how the wind affected PC's play calling.
Also gotta love all these anonymous posters who can say whatever they want and call people names. Anyone who wants to get in touch with me its no secret.Agree saying wind non factor was not correct, it was to a point but like you said it didn't change the outcome of the game, just got tired of seeing joey of no return use it to say its the reason WC won. I can promise you coach Rod couldn't care less about ever winning a coach of the year award. His concern is for his players and that they become the best player and people that they can be and have a happy and successful life. I think he's done very well in that area. And his 11 state championship rings speak for themselves!Class 4 Coach of the Year was awarded to the Strong Winds...that kept PC from putting up 21 points a half on Webb.
You could very well be right but I think with no wind Webb has a different defensive strategy with much more pressure. Just my opinion, and I agree the better team won that day. I would probably pick PC over Ladue if I had to bet on it.I was there. I think with no wind, PC wins. Unfortunately for them, the conditions are part of it. It was a good game. The better team that day won.
When two great teams play, I find myself wondering "if they played ten times what would be the outcome"? I think in the Platte County game, it might be pretty close to 5-5 or 6-4. But in the end the only outcome that matters is the one that actually took place.
