MEC Changes

According to the Chillicothe Newspaper, starting in the Fall of 2018 Smithville will leave the Midland Empire Conference to join one of the KC Suburban conferences
Taking their place in the MEC will be KC St Pius X. This will be for all sports

yes the talked about Smithville st pius makes sense, Maryville has played them for years, I think that would be a good move for them, that means two private catholic schools in the mec

I have also heard rumors of more expansion in the conference. Heard Lawson wants out of the KCI and possibly into the MEC. But I would believe the MEC would need to add one more school to make an even 10 if Lawson wanted in.

I seriously doubt Lawson wants into the MEC.

Lawson could not compete in the MEC. They would be the smallest school aside from Leblond.
