U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu has recommended moving forward with charges against Andrew McCabe, Fox News has learned, as the Justice Department rejects a last-ditch appeal from the former top FBI official.
In my opinion this attitude is a big part of the problem in Washington DC. I don't care who you are if you commit crimes you should go to jail. Currently they pretty much know the worst thing that might happen is they lose a job. Not that big of a deal. The people they're helping will take care of them. They aren't going to go hungry from not being able to find a job. If they knew they would spend several years behind bars there would be less crap going on. Government officials should be held to a higher standard, not lower. They're being entrusted to make decisions that affect all of us. If they do illegal things they should be punished to the max. Until they are the swamp will only get deeper.W/r/t McCabe...it is clear that he deserved to be fired. I don't care as much if he is charged or not - he's already damaged the public trust.
Lol what???Looks like you are wrong, dumb ax.
Just in: Andrew McCabe’s legal team says in a new letter to Jesse Liu that based on their conversations with the US Attorney’s office in DC yesterday, “it is clear that no indictment has been returned” against McCabe by the grand jury.
What about the impeachment hearings? The Russia investigations? Were/are they a waste of resources? What a waste of resources. Typical.

That never happens. If it really did happen that would be a rather shocking outcome, implying their case sucked.Lol what???
Because a Federal Grand Jury has not yet charged McCabe doesn’t mean they won’t next week, next month, or next year
Here is what his lawyers sent to DOJ
We do not know the specific basis for the rumors, but they were credible enough that both the NY Times and Washington Post published stories suggesting that the grand jury may have declined to vote in favor of charges,” Bromwich said.
So they want the DOJ to respond to Newspaper rumors???
I see your point. I’m no lawyer but a lot of these things aren’t necessarily crimes under the current law. And, I’m general, the remedy for screwing up at work is normally a civil remedy. You have to really screw up to get indicted. You can do dumb things that damage the public trust and it isn’t necessarily a crime, like the Clinton email server. In my opinion this attitude is a big part of the problem in Washington DC. Again, just my opinion.
