Class 3 p.1

1 Park Hills Central 17-0, three wins v Fredericktown, possibly another in the MAAA Tournament next month.

The Rebels average 64 points and have scored 65 points or more in 10 of 17 games (59%). The closest game for Central, the season opener with St. Charles, a seven point Rebels win. Megan Skaggs is going to UCM. Olivia Casey to???

2 Lutheran St. Charles 14-3 14-3 lost at St. Dominic 57-31 tonight (1.22).

Lutheran St. Charles keeps moving northerly powered by Miami Ohio signee Savannah Kluesner (6’3 PF/C). The Cougars have Archdiocesan Athletic Association upcoming games with Duchesne and at Cardinal Ritter. Lutheran St. Charles won Class 2 volleyball title in fall 2015. In same district as Duchesne hosted by Christian in O’Fallon.

3 Saxony Lutheran 14-2

Will Sam Sides lose the ‘stache or will it be listed here? In the 10th season of basketball, the Crusaders are down two starters from 2014-15 in Maddie Brune (DI soccer, Troy AL) and Reagan Wieser means more Brianna Mueller for Saxony Lutheran. 1.25 v Neelyville, 2.2 at Dexter.

Will Jaysea Morgan lead Twin Rivers to a second win this season over Saxony Lutheran?

4 St. James 13-3

Large week ahead Crane, Rolla, Nixa, Bolivar.

5 Chillicothe 10-2

Former Meadville head coach Darren Smith (2nd season) has Chillicothe going with Whitney Clampitt, Katelyn Parkey, Hannah Jones, Karson Keithley, Campbell (sole sr.), Leamer, and Leatherman doing work. Class 3 p.2

6 Strafford 14-3 ^!^

All remaining games on road except 2.1 Senior Night v Pleasant Hope.

1.21 56-53 5 seed scary Marshfield Lady Jays over 1 seed Strafford in Rogersville Tournament.

Strafford bounced back to win third over host Rogersville.

Strafford showed very strong in the Pink and White, beating C5 #8 Branson, held a 48-36 lead over C5 #3 Kickapoo entering the 4Q only to fall in OT 74-66.The Indians claimed third over Pickerington OH in the pink bracket. Leaders for Strafford are senior Logan Eden, junior Abby Oliver and freshman Hayley Frank(6’1). The Indians finished second to Lutheran St. Charles in Class 2 volleyball last fall.Mid Lakes Conference is good stuff.Packed district field at Fair Grove with defending champion Buffalo, runner up Strafford, Clever, Ash Grove.

1.25 at Willow Springs, 1.28 at Ash Grove, 1.30 v Webb City in Ozark, 2.16 at Rogersville, 2.18 at Fair Grove

The 03.15.15 proclamation from Mohawk “losing a district championship on your home court is never easy, but Strafford has to be excited about where the program is heading. Getting back Kaylee Larimer from injury will be huge, so will the return of a versatile backcourt, led by Abby Oliver and Logan Eden. The X-factor for Strafford will be the addition of Hayley Frank. I’ve heard horror stories about her dominating junior high basketball games. She’s a legit 6-foot with guard skills and a post game. If the Casey Garrison comparisons are anywhere close to true, an already loaded Strafford team just got even better.”

7 St. Pius X 10-1 this team ^$^

Outside of a 2.1-6 tournament at NKC and 2.9 trip to KC Center, the Warriors are at home the rest of the regular season with Smithville, ND de Sion and O'Hara again.

St. Pius X KC. Abby Hipp 6’2 JR photo from 01/2015.

Hipp tweets. Every single year I get hurt in Warrensburg...idk what the deal is.

my goal in life is simple: get buckets and marry rich.

SPX Class 3 volleyball finishes: 4th fall 2015, 3rd 2014, 2013, 2012, 2nd 2011, the Warriorsaren’t going to let anything stop us," Hipp.

KCStar 12/2014: A young team suffered through its share of growing pains last season ('13-'14) before finishing 13-12. Those growing pains could pay dividends this season ('14-'15) in Class 3. The Warriors return the top nine players in their rotation, coach Bob Fenzel says, a group led by all-conference player Abby Hipp. QTR v Chillicothe 2015.

Hipp– Post – KC Hoopsters – Good size with solid build…Plays with sharp instincts…Post moves are there…Has been well coached.

01/2014 Hipp was injured as a freshman and might go to Marist? Aiding the no stopping Warriors are Juniors Natalie Denzer, Amanda Hayes and sophomore Antoinette Mussorici.

It’s been awhile since the Pioneers have served statewide notice. Good home set with St. Francis Borgia, Cardinal Ritter, Nerinx Hall then on the road to Lutheran St. Charles and St. Charles. Duchesne is less than six miles from Lutheran St. Charles.

The loss was to resurgent Jefferson City in the California Tournament championship. 1.25 host Boonville. 2.6 SOBOCO Tournament Championship. Only one more road game this season 2.19 at Warsaw.

Palmyra (Nicole Kroeger 5’10 JR verbal to UNI). Palmyra about to tear through the Clarence Cannon Conference. Lone in state loss to SOBOCO by 25 at MACC, first game after Christmas. Olivia Casey also plays volleyball and softball. I've been told over the last couple of years she does not wish to play any sport in college.

Brunie has been playing since the Twin Rivers game, Wieser hopes to be released by the end of January. If she does they have 4 games in February, at Dexter, Notre Dame at home, Poplar Bluff at home and at Meadow Heights for her get into some action before district play. If she were to get released a little earlier she could possibly play in the Neelyville game at home on the 25th or the Scott City game at home on the 28th.
