I like using max preps rankings but prob is if all teams don't post scores then may have to wait for them to catch up.

The system utilizes the huge number of game results stored in the MaxPreps database. Generally, the more a team wins, the higher the ranking. However, the system takes into account quality wins (against other highly ranked opponents) and strength of schedule.

For example, a team's ranking is hurt more by losing to a team that is ranked below them than a team ranked ahead.

Other factors that will affect the rankings are times when MaxPreps has incomplete or inaccurate information. We will correct errors when they are reported to us. If we are missing a score, report it to us on the team's MaxPreps page. If we are missing a game on the schedule, send us a correction request.

Playoff wins are weighted higher than regular season games.

Movement indicates the up or down movement within the rankings when compared to our previously published rankings.

Several years ago St. James came to Drury and whipped Crane. During one of crane's state title runs. If I remember correctly St James was up 20 plus on crane at halftime and didn't get a call in the 2nd half which allowed crane to close the gap. Similar to the hose job st James got at Drury vs Buffalo girls in the quarterfinals.

The Springfield refs take care of there own. Widely known in the referee circuit

Now some don't report their scores like neelyvillw
i think its safe to say, that doesn't just happen in Springfield

I think it's a style thing. I have found that further north you go the more you get called for touch fouls and in southwest they let it be bit more physical.

Yeah Neelyville has played 15 games, I think have lost 4 but not sure about that. Only one of those losses was to a smaller school when they played at Naylor. That was their first loss in the OFC conference in 5 years, a span 28 games.

Adrian too. So that's the reason I don't completely like these but it gives an idea and I like the strength of schedule
