Maty Mauk

It's sort of like the DGB situation. Mo state didn't want him. But with his dad coaching in Springfield it seems like it would be a good fit for him. Like you said, not sure if Steckel would want to deal with him.

More to this story then is at the surface. I am not sure he makes it back to the line up again. You do not want to get in Pinkel's doghouse.

Yeah I've heard multiple things but don't know what is true or not. If it's as bad as what I've heard why would they keep him on the team?

Maty is done at MU, with football anyway. The kid needs some help, not sure football can or will save him. On top of what he is doing to himself, he is also having to deal with his father's illness. Not sure I could have handled it at his age. That being said, I wish the young man well.

I've heard things too. The reality there isn't an arrest so I doubt we ever know. It gives the haters stuff to chew on though.

Pinkel is doing the right thing. The haters of course think it has to do with play.

Ya that's why we kicked the #1 recruit in the nation off so Stoops could try to play him.

You still sore MU, oh Im sorry the SEC SEC missed a shot at beating Big Game Bob in a Bowl game couple years back? Your jealousy of all these other GREAT programs is sad for someone with your Football knowledge...

Pinker doesn't want it to get out because it's another player he had zero control over. ATLEAST FSU was out in the open. Why wasn't he arrested?

Seems like keeping him off of the field would amount to more than "zero" control.

Pinker?

Alright slight control. Why wasn't Mauk arrested?

Because from what I can read it was some players who turned him into Pinkel who were concerned about him, no cops were involved. So Pinkel suspended him and I doubt he or any other coach would have called the cops on him. I don't think the cops were or have been involved at any point in this so far so.

Out in the open when their two starting CBs were involved in a hit and run at 2am right at the corner a store was being robbed.....and weren't arrested or tested for DUI?

I used to wonder if you just trolled but I'm starting to realize you're really that guy.

Is this a PJ Williams thread? You bring up FSU all the time. Mauk was doing some serious stuff, why were the cops not involved?

Pinkels stars are shining bright these days.

That is the best move Lock made all year... Turning Mauk in so he would get to start! LOL

No. Don't be obtuse. You made some idiotic statement about FSU doing things out in the open. I just pointed out one example where 2 starters should have been busted but the TPD and campus PD made it go away.

What was Mauk doing? Please fill us in. You don't know anything as usual. Make sure you sign your name and address so he can put you on the lawsuit too.

You're such a homer. Your Maty gets in trouble, the coaches pretty much keep it under wraps so that it doesn't make the program look anymore ridiculous. And you mouth FSU.

But he wasn't arrested right? All is good in the hood.

What do you want the coaches to do? I mean from what I have read they did not catch him some players came to them with the news. Again all hearsay, but in this case at this point it does not look like the cops should be involved in this at all. More like he needs to get some addiction help.

So coach suspended their QB because accusations by fellow players? You buying that?

I look at it this way.... If one of my son's friends comes to me and says that my son has a problem with a drug addiction, I am going to ask him about it. If he admits to it to me, I find him the best help I can get him. I do not say lets travel to the police station so they can arrest you. Coaches bring kids into a family, no matter the sport. Coaches, for the most part, do what is best for athletes. They teach them as they are their own child. They help them the same way. Far too many times coaches are thrown under the bus for helping kids. The easiest thing to do is to release a kid in trouble and push the problem off on somebody else. It takes character and heart to stand by your kids, as a coach, when they do wrong and do whatever a coach can do, legally, to correct the situation. It does not matter if you are MU, FSU or CMU..... Coaching is a very difficult job these days. I applaud all of them at all levels.

I agree for victimless crimes like drugs.
But not all of these cases have been victimless.
