That dude must be impressive. He was an assistant at places like U of Buffalo, West Carolina, and Temple and then worked only one year in the NFL as an “assistant o-line coach”. As a HC, he turned around Temple and Baylor and then interviewed at Carolina Monday and they offered him a SEVEN year deal. Not your traditional path to NFL HC.

It will be very interesting to see how well he does in the NFL. Seems like he has cultivated a culture of intense buy in and winning everywhere he has been.

I get the feeling it will go much like Saban's NFL tenure.

Seems like it tough to get NFL guys to buy into that "culture" mantra. Granted there have been some that have done it and I am pulling for Rhule, he just seems like a great dude. Just interested to see how it goes in the pros.

Like Saban said about his NFL tenure, he would have been a lot better if they got Brees. If Cam Newton is health Rhule will look be a genius.

Rhule is a much different coach than Saban. Saban is a micromanaging, hard-ass, perfectionist. I think that is far more suited to 18-22 year old college kids, rather than the 25-35 year old adults of the NFL. Nick Saban is the greatest college coach of all time no doubt about it, but I don't think you can compare his transition to the NFL with Rhule's.

Recruiter, yes. Coach?
