We are in the SEC now, don't we deserve and expect a better coach than from Temple? Will Mizzou pay the money to get a marquee coach? There are 15 FBS jobs open, Rhule might be a good choice, only time will tell.
That won't happen. They hire Odom, I bet a D-line coach is the only other real hire they make.I would be happy with Odom as long as he replaces the offensive staff.
His resume is less than spectacular. One good year (this one) as a HC, and then a bunch of years at Western Carolina and Temple as an assistant. Generally not places one thinks about when considering breeding grounds for SEC coaches. We are in the SEC now, don't we deserve and expect a better coach than from Temple? I was speaking merely about Odom. Anybody from outside will obviously bring in their own guys.As of right now I give the new AD the benefit of the doubt and assume that ANY new hire is strongly encouraged to replace the OC at least and maybe more offensive staff. Would like to keep coach K.
Very well could be. Also, possible he could be a total flop. But I agree, he might be the best option. I thought going into this, MU could realistically get solid guy with quality HC'ing experience. Assume if they kicked the tires on Fuente, Hermann, Richt, et al...maybe that isn't the case. With everything going on down there, I think you have to go with Odom to allow for some consistency with the players/recruits. Otherwise we may be looking at a significant rebuilding period (if we aren't already). Not all coaches come from someone elses scrap heap, the next great coach is always lurking somewhere, why couldn't it be Odom?
Gotcha. Not been followin it lately. Cool.Doesn't matter if Rhule was right or not now, he removed his name from consideration.
