Yeah this is correct. The game was as close as 6-3 then Maryville ran off 44 straight points to run away with the victory. Maryville is taking complete control of the MEC this season. I do t see them playing a close game until week 9 at Lafayette

I would not go that far as to say the only team that will give us a game might be Lafayette. MEC is a tough conference with lots of talent and many good coaches. So all games are anyone's game until proven different. I would like to see the refs learn the rules though. Last night was the first time I have seen a kid take the ball 2 yards deep in the endzone on a kickoff and be allowed to run it out, where he was nailed at the 20 yard line and put out of the game with an injury. For the most part they do a good job refereeing, but that to me was a needless injury.
