I guess we know the playoff rotation now. Assuming we need a rotation and not just 1 guy in one game. Pirates won't give up but at least the Birds are off to good start in this game.Lyons will start against the Pirates Wednesday.
Holliday is looking much better at the plate too. Hit the ball hard even when he made an out. eaglesball should be very happy, I see no way they can put Jay on the playoff roster. Hope Carp's thang is not serious.Jaime came up big. The offense scoring early took the pressure off. Let's get another win tomorrow. And get one at Pittsburgh.
Garcia get the start at 3rd tomorrow? Don't know if the Brewers are starting a lefty or righty.Agree
He does a pretty good job there defensively, just hope he can pit the bat on the ball. Strange to say but I guess he won't strikeout anymore than Carp has been.Yea. I don't know who they are starting. They might just go with Reynolds either way.
Very much so But he shouldn't be on the roster regardless of Holliday's status. Dude is still hurt, IMO. No strength in wrist. There was a time he drove the ball to the gaps. Hasn't done that in almost two seasons now. Sucks, because he was once a solid hitter...I'm still concerned with Holliday. Looks locked in at the plate with timing. But he is facing AAAish type pitching. And still babying that quad. You can tell he's not 100%. And that thing could ball up at any time, hence the concern. I'd be shocked if he made it the rest of the way without another setback. Upside, Grichuck's "throwing program" should have ended Friday. Meaning he should now be able to throw without restrictions. We'll see how that elbow is. I'd say if he's not in there on a somewhat regular basis the rest of the way, we'll know the elbow is still a problem...And now Marp. Sheesh, can't catch a break. I didn't mean to say Jay should be on the roster if Holliday is not or is only there to be a pinch hitter, those thoughts just kind of ran together. Jay should not be on the roster because of the other options that are way ahead of him offensively right now and also play good defense.Very much so But he shouldn't be on the roster regardless of Holliday's status.
