To be fair, most class 1 teams don't have much competition when it comes to playoff time. That's what makes it so interesting (not lately with the VC dominance). I would say the only class 1 team that can say they had good competition would be Thayer down in the SCA.

Y'all can argue saying that SG is ranked in class 3, but VC played them week 2 with a new coach, so I would take that W with a grain of salt.

Thayer plays a very tough schedule in Class 1. Skyline also plays a few tough games in there as well.

That is a very large grain of salt that would not fit any Morton box I have seen!

South Shelby plays Class 3 Macon & Centralia, Class 2 Brookfield, Palmyra and Clark County in Conference. That's a handful for any Class 1 team. All but Macon are still in District play.

Judd has the best Valle team I've Coached or Played against. I played Valle in the late 90's and I've coached against them off and on several times in the past few years. This year we couldn't touch Valle's offensive line. I watched them on film run outside zone flawless. Before the game I was able to talk with their Defensive coordinator and asked him to tell his offensive line coach how flawless they looked running plays. Respect to a great program and great coaches. Valle legitimately can play with most classes this year. They win out and turbo clock their way to the state championship.

Never underestimate Thayer or Skyline. Both should give Valle all they want.
