What are your thought. Seen both, Marionville in person, Portageville on film. Marionville physical, fundamentally sound. Dont beat themselves, stud rb, ilb very good, ol/dl aggressive and use hands well. Portageville studdd rb, good receiver, big upfront, very explosive. Should be a very good game.

I only went to one Marionville game. Like you said, seem very solid, physical and well coached. Did not appear to be explosive. I don’t know anything about Portageville. I’ll be rooting for the Comets but from what I’ve seen on paper, they will be slight underdogs.
Love the C1 small town games. Trucks fill the parking lot, half of those have deweze beds, even split between school colors and camo in the stands.

Is this going to be the "state championship" game or is there another team out there that can compete with these two?
I like Marionville at home. Portageville has a chance if they can make big plays in the passing game, have the weapons (Beau Hunter-Warren all time name) to do it but have never had to do it consistently. I think the comets are well coached enough to figure out the lets put 10 blockers in the box and let the RB find a hole play.
Size, Speed, Strength, and the fact that Portageville has some college level athletes running around. Marionville does not.
Not so sure the soph is not a college level guy. Marionville is a grind it ou, not as explosive as pville, it will be contrasting styles.

Size, strength, speed. He will be a difference maker in this game win or lose for the Comets.
Hopefully its a competitive game. Just worried that Portageville has seen 3-4 teams better than the Comets, and they will by far be the best team Marionville has seen. But that's why they play the game!
I think Savannah and New Madrid are probably the only teams better than Marionville that Pville has played. And New Madrid is questionable to me.
