Marco Rubio was on a FB team in Mo.

When you kicked a field goal at Tarkio, you literally kicked the ball into a cornfield. A terrible football school. If Tarkio passed the 50 it was a miracle. Spellman truly was a dirty con artist. HOWEVER, his business model is still used at small NAIA schools to this day. As for Rubio, can't fault him for thinking he was better than he was at the game, we all see this every day. I went to Missouri Valley. From 79 to 83 we barely had 400 students. 120 were football players. We had better players than Tarkio, Culver, up start Mid AM, Ottawa, Central Methodist, Benedictine, Graceland and Baker Jewell were nemesis rivals. Tarkio and Culver were tied for worst. I remember many guys that came through, huge kids, that couldn't hack the prison culture system we had at Valley. Can't fault Rubio for sticking it out, at least we won, he truly had to love the game to suck it up at Tarkio.
