It appears the Cubs manager aligned his pitching to have two left handed starters going in the series vs the St. Louis Cardinals while the St. Louis manager made sure his ace faced the Chisox and missed the Cubs series altogether. Truth be told...the Birds are currently the type of team that needs to throw their ace vs teams that aren't top teams. Throw them against the middle of the pack and worse teams when you can. Give yourself a chance to win the games you can win. Throw a pitcher to the wolves when you can. Each game is just 1/162 of the season.

Mike's one of the worst in game mgr. to ever wear a Birds uniform, but still has not allowed the ream to finish below ,500 He must have some strengths. Unless they are ready to commit to Stubby, nothing is going to happen.

Over the years I have been a supporter of MM and continue to do so. I do get that people don't like him and there are times when he drives me crazy.
