Hindsight is 20-20. But, John Lackey to slam the door on back to back nights? Iffy at best. Cubs pen must be rough. Paid off to make the Cubs use up their bullpen early.

But Davis was only good for an inning after his 3 inning save, so he had Rondon and Montgomery.... both of which would have done the same thing. Lackey at least gets beat making them swing. Monty and Rondon right now would just walk the run in

Pedro Martinez picked up on davis' health.

Some said they should have pitched wade the 9th,I disagree. I'm willing to bet wade needs a couple days off.

The big story is still the ice coldness of the Cubs' bats. Also, Morrow is filthy! Is he locked into LA? Go get him, Mo!

Wade needed a few days, and could have closed for 1 inning if the Cubs had a lead.

Morrow has completely turned his career around. He's a free agent now, but I highly doubt he's going anywhere. Why would you leave LA at this point?

Cubs have reverted back to their 1st half form. Part of it is how good the Dodgers pen is.... but they aren't this good. This is the 2015 NLCS, Part 2.

These starters have such a short leash in the post season. You need at least 3 guys to bridge the gap...the nastier the better...it's the new way. And the dodgers have filth in their pen!!

It's not the "new way" necessarily, but it has definitely gotten to be more popular since the Royals rode their 3 headed monster to a title in '15. I recall TLR riding the bullpen to the title in 2011

Lackey got an out and walked a man in front of the hottest hitter in baseball with RISP. He didn't even bother slapping it over the infield for the game winner, he mashed one for the game winner. Lackey on back to back days was just plain silly. Not to say I didn't personally didn't like the outcome.
