LUE new head coach at L.A. Clippers...

.....C =)~
What year did Lue move to Raytown South? Was he recruited? Was leaving Mexico, Missouri a career for Lue?

He started at Raytown not South his sophomore year.
Thanks for the correct information. Bud L. was @ Raytown South and was known to bring a few recruits in. Maverick can you name a few recruits that moved into Raytown South when Bud was coaching?

I know at least one of his teams had 2 D1 recruits on it but I am not sure if they were originally from Raytown or if they "moved in".

Ty Lue played for Mark Scanlon at Raytown.

Jevon Crudup and Chris Lindley. Lindley was a KU signee, and easily the better player between he and Crudup. And that's taking NOTHING away from Crudup. Lindley lost his foot when a train ran over his leg. Pretty sure that's the same Ray South team that caused Floyd Irons to famously pull his Vashon team off the court in the semi-finals at SMS in 90. That South team was REALLY, REALLY good. They were AMAZING with Lindley. I saw that South team play over Xmas break that year. Just unreal how good they were. And Crudup and Lindley were just huge. You couldn't score on them. Their guards would pick up full, guard you hard, overplay everything, and funnel it to the middle. If the guards didn't turn you over, Crudup and Lindley would either completely change your shot or block it. And they both ran the floor like a 6' athletic wing. That team was awesome.

Crudop carried South to the last championship Coach Lathrop would win. Crudop dominated more that year after Lindley went out. I remember Coach Lathrop telling me that Crudop holds the record for him on the Mikan drill dunks. I forget the number he told me but it was insane the number of straight dunks Crudop did in a row. Sad story too for Chris.
