Come on now KC public schools don’t recruit....I guess Staley's recruiting is down?
He is in his 2nd year at PH and was NOT their best player.Didn't Staley's best player move to the Park Hill School District? It sounds like they decruit then.
LSW played very well, STHS did not, the combination was 40-0. I think LSW is better than STHS, but I do not think they are 40 points better, but, they certainly were last night.Never thought Staley could be whipped like that.
Still the favorite in the watered down C5
I've seen every game except the week one game @Park Hill. I'd say that's about as accurate a representation of the Titans as one can give. D-line was an absolute difference maker last night. Tipped/batted down at least a half dozen of the very few Staley pass attempts. Save the first drive of the 3rd quarter, dominated the Staley O-line. The Titan's O-line got it going around the 2nd quarter once they went to the draw game. And while the LSW QB might not be the best thrower in the metro, he can improvise with the best of them. That kid gets to full speed in about half of a stride. I couldn't imagine trying to play a game of tag with that kid. He'd have you turned inside out before you knew what hit you.I watched LSW lose to Park Hill week 1 and again last night vs Staley. The LSW offense has improved since week 1, but is still somewhat limited. Where West stands out is upfront. Both their O and D lines are big and physical. They pretty well took Staley apart last night, particularly in the 2nd half. Staley's turnovers were also key to the eventual outcome.
He was a major contributor but agree: last year Staley's best player was the RB who could not stay healthy.............He is in his 2nd year at PH and was NOT their best player.
You oughta look Homey up down the road. We hit at least 1-2 per year together............helps me understand this crazy game more times than I can count. Only criticism is I have to hear about my Pick Em game selections.............I've seen every game except the week one game @Park Hill. Would love to meet up with he and whoever else in the KC area. A neighbor and myself have gotten in to going to all the LSW games, as long as the road games are in the metro. So I should be at the rest of them. Should be another dandy next week. You oughta look Homey up down the road. His long run in the first half was phenominal ! He is obviously a handful when he gets loose in space.I've seen every game except the week one game @Park Hill. Yes that will be a HUGE test for both. Add to that it is a backyard LSSD game..............Would love to meet up with he and whoever else in the KC area. I don't know the answer to that. He's pretty small, but they had a couple slots last year that were shorter kids. I'm horrible with names, so I can't recall. Was the QB a wideout last year?
And LSW homecoming. Should be a great atmosphere. And looks like we'll have some serious Fall weather for it too. I'm already looking forward to it!Yes that will be a HUGE test for both. Add to that it is a backyard LSSD game..............
Staley has another good one in #5 Mylan Mitchell. He is a senior movein from Texas. They list him at 5'9" 203lbs and he is a load with excellent moves. West did not give him much space last night. He was a major contributor but agree: last year Staley's best player was the RB who could not stay healthy.............
He absolutely tore Kearney apart Week 2. The more I digest last night the more I think this one says more about LSW than Staley given the Falcons are C5. Still not sure anyone at that class level in this area has anything for their lines both sides of the ball..............if healthy, that is.Staley has another good one in #5 Mylan Mitchell. I feel for all involved (just got back from out lunch in the elements) at the 2 PM kickoff at Center today. It is nasty, rotten hot and humid for this time of year. No wonder the weather forecast is near 100 percent heavy/severe T-storms this evening! And LSW homecoming. Should be a great atmosphere. And looks like we'll have some serious Fall weather for it too. I'm already looking forward to it!
He is a very good player, did not mean to imply he isn't. Staley would be fortunate to have him, just do not believe he was, or even would be, their best player. Despite what his dad would tell youHe was a major contributor but agree: last year Staley's best player was the RB who could not stay healthy.............
He had 2 really nice scrambles, he's a difference maker. His long run in the first half was phenominal ! He is obviously a handful when he gets loose in space.
You mean that they don't have enough already !!!Staley area needs to build more apartments, so the good players can get addresses there. Simple.

I was half joking back in the 1990s when predicting the new 152 would one day be filled up to capacity with businesses and housing...............welp.Staley area needs to build more apartments, so the good players can get addresses there. Simple.
Only 40............that will not do. Gotta be taller than the whatever-they-call-it-now (used to be the Transamerica in the 90s) highest KC skyscraper so let's go for FIFTY. Oh and those dots need to be kelly green not purple.Build this bad boy just North of 152... 40 stories with a Staley Falcon Welcome Center.

And let the Booster Club pay for it right?? Then you can accuse me of running a corrupt club again!!Build this bad boy just North of 152... 40 stories with a Staley Falcon Welcome Center.

Not really. It says more about the lack of competition. If NKC beats Raytown in Week 9, that will be their first quality win of the season. Tonka, including the Kearney game last week, is going to lose 4 of 5 (assuming they beat Van Horn). They're not going to end up with a single quality win. Let's not oversell them.Just look at how much better Oak Park and Northtown are now than 5 years ago. There’s your answer to the question
Van Horn is very hard to read again this year. I think that one is a tossup at this point. Oak Park is actually one team I would look at BUT they just flat don't appear to have an offense. If Staley is not playing Jackson in the C5 semifinal count me totally shocked..............Not really. It says more about the lack of competition. To take this a step further in C5: I will also be shocked should the other semifinal involve anyone except Carthage and Chaminade. Wow what a track meet that promises to be! In all honesty the only teams I think could play spoilers are Raytown in this area and Eureka over in the Lou.Van Horn is very hard to read again this year. Again, didn't see the Park Hill game...but he has two or three of those every game I've seen. He just makes plays. He had 2 really nice scrambles, he's a difference maker.
