Logan Rogersville is open

Would keep an eye on the Parkview HC. Spent a long time at LR as their OC.
Hell all my eyes are on Greg Jones right now as he and CMU have parted ways. Is he done with college coaching? will he make his way back to the KC metro HS scene?

I think he coached out of state prior to carney. Maybe he is going back south to get more money.

i would as well, i noticed they had girls volleyball in state title and then another team as well. seems like good crop of athletes or good culture there
Volleyball and boys soccer were both state runners up, girls and boys roundball will both compete for state…

Football-wise, their best three offensive players were freshman this year (which is why they didn’t peak until late in the season…)

…whoever gets this job will be set up well to hit the ground running

I'd say you're right. Great district and community. Never really been a "football place", but I'd be surprised if they didn't have good support.
I’m obviously biased, but LR home football games provide an amazing Friday night atmosphere and pageantry (thanks in no small part to our multiple-times-over state championship band)…

In addition to the frosh QB, LR had two frosh all-conference receivers this year as well 😳

I don't disagree Mits...but let's pump the brakes on the band thing. Every band ever assembled in a MO high school is a "state champion". It's about like all the cheer programs that place at nationals.

Lots of possibilities and potential at L-R. New HS principal will soon be hired. Would imagine the AP and AD at the HS will be open soon rather than later as well.

Rogersville, like a lot of Springfield burbs will probably double in size in the next 10-15 years with a tax base to match. They're about to finish an indoor practice facility, have a great group of under classmen. Great job indeed.

Where did the Rog Principal go?
Run-of-the-mill retirement (and AD is only a couple years in)…

But like stated above, LR has a ton of earmarked grant money going into sports/activities! 🤑

They’re also at the very bottom of Class 4 football enrollment-wise (so no Class 5 for them for maybe a decade…. assuming the current system has no drastic changes 🤷🏻‍♂️)

AD has only been there a few yrs, but been in MO schools probably 30ish. I can't imagine he or the other AP have many more left. They are both GREAT dudes too. There will be a good deal of change at the HS in the next year or two I'd think, but I don't really think it's a bad thing. The district as a whole seems to have a lot of really good people.

If they bring back the Parkview HC, the applicant pool must be small...they should draw a lot of attention because of location, ability to supplement resources for athletics/pay and in a winnable conference. Their facilities are top notch.
Relationships matter. From everything I know and have heard, he was well liked at LR and still has those relationships. Did a pretty good job at Parkview this year, so seeing a pivot *now* instead of waiting for them to go OMC (they will) makes sense.. to me.

I don't know that the OMC wants Parkview

From Missouri Scoop. With the 13th pick in this year's Coaching Carousel Draft, Logan-Rogersville selects Coach Joel Wells to lead the Wildcats into 2025.

Well that does make sense, He played QB at Aurora and his head coach was none other that Harve Welch....See if he can match Harve Welch for the number of schools he will coach for....
