Why has this all star game really dropped off in the number of kids playing and the coverage in the papers and news? It use to be one of the best all star game in MO.

I went to one back in 2013 in Warrensburg. My grandson and two other Maryville Spoofhounds played in the game coached by Matt Webb of Maryville. I must say they pick a bad time to play as the temps were over 90 and the humidity was way up. Hottest game I ever attended, miserable in the stands and worse on the field. They ended up playing to a tie as the teams did not want to continue because of the heat. This year I believe there were two Spoofhounds in the lineup.
The great Tony VanZant played in it one year, Don't think you will ever see that again.
It was a good week for the boys. But not a lot of people knew about it. ended 14-7 by a pick 6. SWMO kids played well. a lot of class 1 to class 4 kids. To bad Ozone did not have anything on it. Coach Cox and his staff was the coaching staff on this side of the state. To bad it is not a bigger deal anymore. Yes I would say a little late in the summer. But was beautiful this year.
