If you listened to Limbaugh in the '90s he was far-right but reasonable, logical and sometimes funny. You couldn't go to SEMO in the '90s without indoctrination into the Limbaugh phenomenon. I will never forget the "Me & Paula Jones" song. As his celebrity grew so did his ego, and his need to become bigger and more far-right. A chance to listen or watch a video of his worst rants are awful things. While the cancel culture has gotten out of hand, he has a right to say what he says. He has the right to losers listeners and commercial support for those same words. He plays into the worst of people and their worst fears and thoughts.
Trump has a right to give him whatever medal he wants. Does he deserve it? There are a lot of people on the list who may not be deserving. Unfortunately, we can't go back and take them away as I am fairly certain everyone on here would agree they could understand why Bill Cosby was awarded one in 2002, but we would all agree that he doesn't deserve it.
Does he deserve to have a statue in the state capitol?
I understand why Trump gave him one. Extrapolate from Dershowitz's completely insane defense of Trump. If a president deems that his election is in the best interest of the country and that whatever he does to make that happen is then in the best interest of the country. Then Limbaugh has done a great service bringing people to support Trump.

As for Kaepernick, that horse has been beaten to where there should be nothing left. Some will think he is hurting the country and the servicemen, others say he is trying to bring attention to something that needed attention. I respect that he spoke to a service member on his team to ask the best way to do what he wanted to do.

Limbaugh was a POS and a racist from the very beginning. He was never funny. Two examples of hundreds. He said there was a dog in the White House and held up a picture of a 13 year old Chelsea Clinton on his TV show. In the early Obama years he kept playing the song Barack the magic Negro on his radio show. He started the hate. Without him the concept of Fox Hate News wouldn’t have taken off. There would be no Trump. You are wrong.
