With their impressive win over Liberty North 30-20 (the score was closer than the game), the Bluejay's biggest remaining test will be Class 4 Platte City at home. Get through that and they will be undefeated come playoff time.

Something tells me the Raytown game next week is going to be trouble for them. I also cannot see them outscoring Platte Co, and watch Park Hill South-they may have something to say this year before it is over. It would be awesome for Coach Frigon - just a super guy.

You must not have seen Liberty play yet. They dominated LN most of the game. Liberty North beat Raytown 20-0. Liberty beats Raytown by 24. It won't be a game. Platte County won't be able to handle Liberty's line and RB. But it could still be within 7.

Their RB showed signs last year..............he is a very special player.

Dynamic moves. Player of the week last week in KC. Robert Rawie is averaging 225 rushing yards (7.2 yards per carry.). Redmond from LN has more flat out speed (10.53) 100 meters, but Rawie has the agility factor and moves that are ankle breakers. Watch his film. But if it the playground and I'm picking a football team, I'm taking Jess Davis of Kearney before either of them. He would be a three star in football if he didn't already commit D1 in baseball and have 20 D1 offers.

Hope that young man (#23 J. Davis) stays healthy this year. If he does look out..........

I just got out trolled...

By the way...

If "I" would have played in the State Championship game against Webb City the game would have been over on the first play.

"They" would have won. . . .o_O

Funny how every post used to turn into a WC conversation. Now it turns into a Kearney one.

Liberty came up with the big play when they had to like when their "D" caused the fumble on the 2 yard line when LN was moving the ball. Big turnaround play.

Liberty won handily despite four turnovers (3 picks and a fumble.). The one was a pick six and the other got LN to the 20. I don't have stats for the second half, but Liberty poured it on them 21-6. Liberty needs to improve their QB play to move past round 2 in the playoffs.

As much as I respect Coach Frigon - two plays really determined this game. The fumble on the 2 with LN set to score and the botched punt that set Liberty up deep in LN territory. Yes, Liberty played well enough to win. I cannot see any way that Staley does not win this district unless the injury bug bites them. They seem to have a easy path to the semi finals this year.

The two plays you say were key to the game were nullified by the pick six and two other interceptions, and fumble by Liberty. Liberty scored four offensive TDs, LN two. LN's running game was stuffed in the second half. If Liberty doesn't give up all the picks, they win this game by 20 points. Liberty's special teams ran over LN. As a born and bred Liberty Bluejay Hater, I had to say Liberty put it to them.

Regarding Staley, they are, at best, a seven point favorite. If Liberty doesn't throw picks, it might be a toss up.

I just wouldn't feel comfortable saying a team is going undefeated after a game where they committed four turnovers. Regardless of whether they won or not.

I have to say the atmosphere there was fantastic. Actually, I don't think the two schools have learned to hate each other yet, but pride was at stake. And that was a whopper of a crowd.

I can help with the "hate each other" part...:)

Raytown scores two defensive TDs. Otherwise, not close. But how long can they go giving up TDs on Offense?

This turnover issue is not new for this game, they have kept some pretty average teams in games with turnovers for the first four games. I would think any more than 2 turnovers against a very good Platte team on the 23rd will bring their perfect season to an end

PC "may" beat Liberty but after watching them play twice against far less talented teams, I am still not convinced that their a "good" team.

Oak Park was in the game far longer than they should have been. Not until PC wore down their small numbers did they pull away.

Harrisonville gave up size, speed, depth and multiple mistakes and turnovers; (8) + fumbles, just to be down 16-3 in the first quarter.

Staley put up (55) pts on their Defense while allowing (40)+

I may be wrong about this and need to eat my words for dinner in a few weeks but I think Kearney will go undefeated into the Platte City game and level them in their own back yard.

Just "my" opinion...;)
