Is the Big 8 East or West better?

The West Division includes: McDonald County, Monett, Nevada, Cassville, East Newton, Seneca, and Lamar.

The East Division includes: Marshfield, Logan-Rogersville, Aurora, Reeds Spring, Springfield Catholic, Hollister, and Mt. Vernon.

There's not really a debate right now... maybe in a couple years, but not right now...

Agreed!

I'd go a step further and say that longstanding Big 8 schools in the East (MV/Aurora) are the favorites to win the Division until proven otherwise (Reeds has the best chance out of the new teams, at least out of the gate...)

Wolves played both last year. They Split with Mt Vernon and Beat Aurora. If this were happening this coming season I would say RS would be the favorite going in. A little too far out to speculate on two seasons from now.

In the west... its hard to pick anyone except Lamar until proven wrong.

Based on what we've seen from Mac County in youth football, look out for the Mustangs come 2022 or so. Plus they could be class 5 size by then.

I've heard Rogersville and SC were supposed to be on the upswing? Does anyone know if this is right or just wishful thinking?

Certainly true of SC in the near term; LR is still a few years out (but I'd obviously welcome it if LR were ahead of schedule :D)

History will prove that undefeated Pee Wee teams= undefeated HS teams. Just ask the dads that coached those Pee Wee teams. They will be glad to tell you.
And they will tell you that if the high school team is not undefeated, it's bad coaching. if they were coaching, those kids would be state champions.

I'm telling you all, Mac in 2022! I haven't actually seen the current McDonald County peewee teams but I got my info from Flint222.

Hurts me to say, but I think Lamar may have as many or more State Championships over the past 6 years than the East Division has combined.
