Leopold takes Class 1 District 3 title for 9th straight year

The top-seeded Leopold Lady Wildcats defended their district championship, a title they have held for nine consecutive years. The last team to win this district was Meadow Heights during the 2001-2002 season.

The Lady Wildcats will face the winner of the Bootheel-based District 1 Saturday at Sectionals at Bernie, the winner of District 2. Bernie defeated Bell City 25-19, 25-16 to win the District 2 title which had been won by Bell City for the past eight years. Bernie will face Valle Catholic, the defending Class 1 state champions.
