Players make the choice at all levels to play a violent and dangerous game. Any injury is on them and nobody else.

Except in the case of the NFL teams that purposely and blatantly hid the known effects of head trauma for decades so that they could continue playing injured players. As ruled by the courts, and settled out of court by the NFL, to the tune of $1 Billion in damages paid to former players.
