Lathrop vs. LN who ya got?

OG Carl was on Fox News last night, that guy is hands down the greatest coach in the state judging by his Twitter page. I'll take LN by as many as they want.

The game’s been moved from LN’s grass field to one with field turf. After watching Lathrop chew up Summit Christian, their hopes of a wet track negating Lutheran North’s speed and pulling a “Lamar”, has evaporated.

Unless Lathrop’s been saving and hiding a potent passing attack all season, they’re going to lose this weekend.

Lathrop played the game of a lifetime upsetting Maryville so anything is possible BUT this is a whole other talent level they are facing this Saturday..................My heart soooooooooooooo wants to be wrong but my head says this one is LN by 21 or more.

Moved to Bayless H.S. As I mentioned during Maryville week, what a great opportunity for LN to back it all up and light Lathrop up! Talks over Saturday mornin.

And based on the success factor, it will be 6 years before LN is in C2 again.

Cards, even if they lose this weekend, I have them with 9 points the past 6 years which will bump them up 2 classes.

Good. They really decided to play Lamar in the Mud in 2017. Glad they learned their lesson.

While I don't disagree, we have no idea what points will take to move up teams, since MSHSSA doesn't even know
Win district = 1 PT, Semifinals = 2 PT, 2nd Place = 3 PT, Win = 4 PT. Most points in one year is the highest that year.
That is a done deal.
LN has 3 semifinals in a row and previous 3 years District Champ. Equals 9 points.
Between 3-7 points the past 6 years, move up one class. 8 points or more, move up two.

Where is that at in the MSHSSA handbook or on their website? Is this really a done deal?

I've seen 6 and 12 as the point thresholds.

Moved to Bayless? Please tell me this is a joke. This will be a nightmare for a semifinal game. Bleachers only on one side, no lights, limited parking. With all the turf fields in Stl this was the choice, yikes!

But hey look at the bright side Lathrop fans, at least you don't have to play in North St. Louis where your chances of getting mugged and/or murdered is higher than your chance of winning this football game.

The numbers came from the CC and VB advisory committees. I would assume all sports will be under the same format.

Yyyyyyyep. Never been there thank The Lord, but I Google earthed it. Must have been the lowest rental bid of the bunch.

There is a pretty good size post season 3-8th grade tournament going on this weekend starting on friday, that might be why some of the others aren't available, and had to go to Bayless. .

3rd graders playing in a football tournament on Thanksgiving weekend... yessss youth sports in America is awesome! Can we get some of the better matchups for those of us in the area? I was planning on streaming some of the better semifinals but if their is good ball being played in the city it'll give me a good excuse to avoid the in-laws.

HAHAH, I have no idea, my buddy has a son playing in it, and I was like that sounds like a terrible idea.

I mean how can you vicariously live through your kids if you don't play in a tournament over thanksgiving weekend.

Apparently it's completely up to the home team (LN) as to where the game is played so long as MSHSAA approves. So it has been approved to play in a dump, in the dark, in the rain.

I failed to mention you'll have to park at the Arch due to no available parking at the field.

Lanar won in 2017 7-6. LN proved to be inferior. Ok sorry. But the salt is yummy.

that 2017 LN was absolutely loaded. But about 5 minutes into the game you could see that the field had no drainage and that massive speed gap wasnt going to matter. Game came down to a blocked extra point.

I know Im gonna sound like Webb City Native with their game vs Joplin but if that game was played on Turf or just 10 times Lutheran North wins it 9 out of 10

Lamar won the game. It is what it is. Lathrop owns your Tigers now and Cassville is right behind them. Lamar can’t even win their own conference anymore. I’m sure there were plenty of salty Lamar tears after their 3 loses this year and during Bailey’s consolidation speech last week.
