LaSalle to Lamar

If its true I hope he sticks around. He seems to jump schools every couple of years. I think he is a really good coach and a great hire if he sticks it out. The year he was in EN you could see a difference in their play.

I know one thing for sure, Lamar's mascot will be a Tiger next year.

In an effort to prevent offending those who believe we are abusing animals, like cows, for their milk and Tigers for their use as mascots, Lamar is changing their mascot to "The Fighting Non-GMO, Organic Rice Cakes". Still fine tuning it, but, you get the idea.

No what we should be is the GMO’s because 3/4 of the people are scared of them yet have no clue what they even are!! The Fighting GMO’s would terrorize every town we played.

Jared Beshore will be the next head coach.
He was one of the first names I heard in the rumor mill several months ago. I also heard there were some circumstances that would prevent it. From a community stand point I would think that would be a home run. He is football smart, I think he will be a great head coach some day, wether that is in Lamar or else ware we shall see.

Well that would definitely be a great thing. He wouldn't have problems with community support. I'd like to see that happen and for Bailey to hang around long enough to help him out.
I was told, second hand, that Bailey has already announced his intentions to resign from all positions with the district. If they go with a young coach it would be nice to see him stick around a few years and tutor him.

Bailey would always be a phone call away, but I can’t see him on the sidelines. I think he’s done here. Jared’s dad was an assistant coach when Jared played so there is someone else that could help.

I know some guys, that know some guys and those guys did not say it was LaSalle... but my guys have also been wrong a few times this year.

We dont all have sources at lamar like bullit, i guess

In this case, your guys, that know some guys.. are right....

How about the Botherhood

He has a little brother who will be a Sophomore this year. That could create some interesting practices, and family dinners. I wouldn’t surprised if his dad doesn’t join him as an assistant so that may help. Also helps that his little brother is as good or better than Jared was.

Let's no get carried away with the last sentence. Joel did not start a varsity game as a freshman. Jared started as a freshman and was voted all-state all 4 years.

Who cares who is better. The depth and development of talent is better now than it was when Jared was a freshman. Jared maybe made the single biggest play in Brotherhood history----as a freshman----the last play int against MV Liberty that started the string of them losing to Lamar. I loved watching Joel at the JV level this year, he is and is going to be very special in my opinion.

I don't think Lamar could have made a better hire. No doubt he is young, and inexperienced as a coach, but so was John Roderique. I think he worked out OK.

Now to just get Scott Bailey to stay on and assist....
