Very happy to see the athletic, much-hyped, undefeated Trinity Catholic advance to the Class 2 championship game. This will make it a much more enjoyable game to watch. And the Tigers from Lamar will still roll to their sixth straight title.

Trinity's line will get popped on every play. And when they fall behind early, it will be "give up" time.

I too think if Lamar gets on them early it will get ugly. Just need to clean it up a little and limit the big plays and we'll be fine

Trinity is setting themselves up for a large disappointment. They have been preaching their victory from the start of the season. One game, one snap at a time. As I stated, they may be big, but I would challenge we can put more weight in the air.
But Trinity is for real...going to lose. :)

There's only been one or two individuals on here who have been touting how superior St. Louis football is, from the get go. And neither of them actually go to Trinity or have any ties to Trinity so idk where any of this even coming from.
More than likely Lamar will win. I'll leave it at that.

No argument here. :)

Lamar likely will win by turbo clock. Since they got Hardeman healthy they turbo locked their last 7-8 opponents including Valle, Fair Grove and Mt-view-Libetrty. Liberty was the # 2 team in Class 2 this year. Trinity might have talent but stopping Lamar requires playing great assignment defense. Lamar will score in bunches.

PS: cape Central lost to Ladue ( a good team that gave Kearney a good semifinal test) by a FG. Mt-view beat Cape by 19. I'm not saying Mt View would beat Ladue but the fact Lamar turbo clocked Mt View should show the roll they are on right now.

Long time lurker, first post: I have been attending Lamar games since 06, when I moved there. This week instead of traveling all the way to St Louis to watch a game that I felt would be over by half I'd make the shorter drive north to see who Lamar will be competing against in Springfield.
For starters it was a great game for three quarters. I won't bother with details as Cards1968 did a good job. I was impressed with Lawson. The O-line & D-line held their own against Trinities huge lines. Their skill positions were filled w/ above average players. Overall extremely well coached & disciplined team. Trinity is for Real. The undisciplined, lazy & uncoached comments are over exaggerated. This team is loaded w/ underclassman. Yes their linemen are huge but not very mobile w/ the exception of #66. Lamar better be ready for him. Offensively its their passing game that takes center stage. QB & WR's very good, running game was held in check by Lawson Defense. I thought The Trinity defense played a very solid game against Lawson's offense. Nothing really stood out other than #66. The defense stayed home & tackled well.
Lawson's D gave up way to many 3rd down & long plays. DB's would stop & turn around to find Trinity QB while the WR's would continue their routes.
Lamar will not turbo clock Trinity. Trinity is for Real. As someone else has posted, I can see any results other than a Trinity blowout. No disrespect but I felt both these teams are better than Mt. View.

I didn't have a gender card or a race card so I played that one.

Fair enough Corn Frog, fair enough.

Best possible response to what I said. haha

In my first post above I was serious that I'm glad Trinity won. I think they pose the toughest challenge for Lamar, and I think we should want to see that in a finale. Nwalls was right early in the year - truly he called it and this team called Trinity (with two I's - they've earned it) is indeed for real.

Also, I think Lamar is that superior and believe they will "roll". Not necessarily a cakewalk or a turbo clock - but certainly expect a 20 point or so win.

I hope in all the fun we've had this season it's not lost that his very first projection (that even he bailed on) was spot on. Also couldn't agree more that they have earned their letter. Trinity is for real.

I didn't think they'd be here either. But after the way they played against Lawson, who knows what will happen this week. If Trinity comes to play, we could have a game, if not, Lamar by 3 TD's which is my prediction anyways, just from history. Until somebody beats your sure thing, have to stick by it.

Lamar starters have not had to play into the 4th quarter in very many of there games.

^^^This!^^^ This worries me :(
I hope you aren't worried that they aren't prepared for 4 quarters...it is quite the opposite. These boys are biting at the bit to go 4 quarters, especially against Trinity. The whole of their being is that they make game day the easy part of the week. :)
