Higginsville has a great QB but this is likely not close. I would spread around 4 TDs at this point.
Weather will be a big factor. Ill say higginsville gets a couple deep balls on us so ill say 35-14

)If Michael Danner is back, I think Lamar wins big. Without him the past two weeks, Ava and Lutheran North have been able to key on Cooper Lucas. It is pick your poison with both in the backfield. And Cameron Augusta should be back also which will allow everyone else to be back in their normal positions.

What is going on in Lamar is absolutely amazing. It is something that should be noticed NATIONALLY.
I could be wrong, but I think the Ava game is just what was needed to get everyone back to reality and ready to face the highly touted talent of Lutheran. I can't imagine the weight of expectations that these 15-18 year old boys have to carry on a daily basis, so it's not unrealistic to picture how someone could come out flat, especially against an Ava team who was "supposed" to be a 3-4 score underdog, when we all new the D1 studs of LN is where we were headed. Luckily we made it by.
After seeing how locked in and focused Lamar was for this game, I feel very confident about the championship. They're still high school kids, but with the finality of it being the last game for those seniors, I don't worry about coming out flat. I think Lamar shows up and sends a message of who they really are.

I'll go with 49-21 Lamar. That could very easily be a 49-14 game though as well.

What is the story on Lafayette Co, ? Last time Lamar played them they had a 250 lb QB that threw the ball 50 yds easy. Are they a pass first team ? What was their best win this year
According to calpreps higginsvilles best win is clark county #3404. Lamar has 6 wins ranked higher. Their projection 38-17
That was 2011 State Championship game I think the QB name was Thirkield. Lamar played Layfette County in 2015 semifinals and won 45-0.

this edition of Husker fball has another really talented Thirkield at RB. and the QB is really good. Solid line, and a beast at TE.
a blow out win over an undefeated (at the time) Lexington team was a good win.
The MRVCE was better overall this year as Carrollton and Knob Noster actually came to play football at various points in the season. They had been really, really down in past years.
I think Lamar wins this one. I will be cheering for Lamar, to receive a 7th consecutive state title. Very impressive! Crazy what they are doing up there in Lamar. Good luck to both teams!

What is impressive is before this run Lamar was looking to get out of the Big 8 conference, they were tired of getting beat down. But they stuck with it and now look at them.
Now you can stamp that!!! Lamar gets a bum rap in relation to their sportsmanship and fans. Everyone is quick to forget that we were once the whipping boy in the Big 8. Of course the talent pool cannot be counted out as well. Talented kids, talented coaching at many levels. Prior to 2011 we didn't have a state championship in anything. Now we have multiple in several sports.
