Something occurred to me today:

Could Lamar’s “run first” offense and the fact that they only pass a dozen times A YEAR contribute to their consistency (at least on offense)? Think about it: They don’t have to rely on replacing a strong, accurate decision maker every couple years...

Yes. A support for your argument was how the season ending injury to our 3 year starting quarterback did/did not affect the offense.

Was he better than those who replaced him? I would say so. But the fact that we aren't a passing team reliant on one players arm, not his skills for adjusting at the line makes the "next man up's" job a whole lot simpler
