Lamar/Malden updates....?

Total mismatch, Malden would struggle in a lot of other class 2 leagues.

31 to 0 Lamar watching on line Lamar is very very good, their offensive scheme
is amazing. Malden very good class 2 team but Lamar is many steps above any
class 2 team in state. They would do well in any class

After what they did to Carl Junction no doubt...................five in a row looks in the bag with a turbo early in the 2nd half.

Lamar is very fun to watch. They really make you think twice about the significance (or not) of the class system. They would kick a lot of butt any class.

Really ? 14-0 going into title game and you say "Malden would struggle in a lot of other class 2 leagues" ?

Absolutely Moronic statement.
It's not really that moronic.. 14-0 in southeast Missouri isn't necessarily hard to do. Malden is an above average class two team.. But they might have only won one game in districts 7 or 8 and that would be if the were playing Knob Noster...

I am not a Malden fan. But the statement was assenine.

Tell me what Class 2 Conference they would not be competive in ?

That is the statement i initially responded to ?

I stand by my initial statement.

These kind of posts is why i dont spend any time on this website anymore.

Malden is 14-0, goes to Dome, and loses soundly to a GREAT Lamar team. And....... This is the kind of BS statements made after the game.

I am done with this site for awhile.

Lamar and Liberty were the top two teams in Class 2 this year. Malden was in the running, along with Brookfield, Palmyra, Higginsville, etc..., for a distant 3rd. Lamar could possibly be better next year, so the road to the dome should once again be going through Lamar.

I'm a neutral observer, not a fan of any one team or program in Missouri. Watched Lamar three times this season, including the quarterfinal game at Mountain View.

If I still had a vote in the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association poll, Lamar would get my vote for No. 1 in the final poll, Mountain View would be my No. 2. No offense to Malden, Palmyra or Lafayette County, but the state championship game was played two weeks ago today.

I only state this because you asked, but the answer you are looking for would be the Big 8 Conference. They would struggle to finish the season at .500.

Froto, the Big 8 is not a Class 2 conference. Lamar is the only Class 2 school in the league. The rest are 6 Class 3 and 1 Class 4. So the Big 8 is a Class 3 conference.
