They lost their QB. He ran like a RB last night. Had over 200 when he got hurt. I give them no chance next week if he doesnt play. If he's back, still very small chance to win. Kearney will probably beat them by 3 or 4 TD's
I expect Lafayette to come out much like they did two years ago in this same second round. The issue will be depth and endurance especially given the physical/mental toll last night's game probably will take on them. One huge key for Kearney going foward is generating PASS RUSH. If they can improve that facet of the defense look out............To "me" winning is great but just playing at "your best" is worth "something".
Unlike in the NFL where only one team goes home at the end of the season as a winner.
The rest just go home $$$ rich.
High School only offers a "chance" at greatness, the rest "just go home".
I'll stick with High School ...

The other side of the equation is, of course, sustaining and finishing drives. Although I give Smithville only a small chance of winning next Friday that is a long term rivalry that has produced surprises before...........Will not say on here but it is clear that opposing teams have found weaknesses on the Defense that we saw early against Raytown South.
A "consistent" pass rush will certainly help in that regard.
Not sure what was going on with SJL kicking game but just from listening on radio it sounded as if they do not have one.
Each kickoff was ending up on the 35+ marker. A recipe for a score at will.
As for Kearney (vs) Savannah game...
Did not see the pass rush needed to get the job done against PC.
In all probability that will haunt us throughout the playoffs.
Fix it by the next game or this may be a short run this year.![]()
