Lafayette Back to Back State Champs!!!

It takes some luck to go undefeated and not lose a set, but that does not take away that you have to be good too. The times I saw them play the last couple years I was impressed with the team's "have fun" attitude. Seemed like they never let pressure get to them. They deserve everything they get in the national rankings.

Luck and Just Good

They sure got lucky late in the first set when they got the net cord on a serve and a roll over for the point against LSW in the Championship match.

LSW wins that first set and its a free for all for match as LSW was playing strong. Their coach kept her cool and she did a good job with her team.

Lafayette just never had any weak spots.

It just blows my mind how much better Class 4 is than the other 3 classes. Its like watching a different game.

Anyone know where any of the girls from these 2 teams will be playing their college ball?

West's Taylor Sandbothe is headed to Ohio State, and Maddie Mosier to Pitt State.

West currently has alumni playing for Baylor, Oklahoma, Stanford, UCM, Washburn, Emporia State, Truman State, and Pitt State,

I think Lafayette has a couple girls headed to the SEC - Mississippi and Auburn? Plus I think the announcers said there were a couple of underclass men that were comitted to Div1 as well.

The average enrollment for the 4 class 4 schools is 1,788, average for class 3 is 634. And Lafayette has more students than all 8 class 1 and 2 schools combined. When you have over 2,000 students to choose from, it's pretty easy to see why class 4 is so much better than the other classes.

Yeah, but about half of them can't play on the girls volleyball team;)
