Calpreps:
1. Ladue
2. West Plains
3. Webb
4. Kearney
But was the 35-7 Pattonville win really that good? #11 in Class 6.

If it happens then Ladue will host. Not that it really matters but yes I think Ladue looks stout and that portentisl match-up with West Plains looks like it will be a great game.
All four are like apples vs. oranges at this point. Of all these you mentioned, though, KTown has the toughest road to even get to a quarterfinal. This Friday will help solve that, though.Idk how good Pattonville is. They lost to a pretty bad Hickman team. Sure it was week 1, but still. Hickman just isn't very good. The Kirkwood/Eureka/Marquette comparisons would make you dizzy I suppose. Here's the truth about both WP and Ladue, as far as I can see. Both are pretty darned good. Neither have been tested much, if at all. And certainly not against someone the strength of themselves or a Kearney or Webb. It's really hard to gain much knowledge from either of their schedules at this point.
True, that district with KTown, PC, and Smithville is a grinder. Any one of those three will probably be a nice semi matchup with Ladue/WP. Can't really see Webb getting tested by anyone in their quarter of the state. However, that Branson game is a head scratcher to me. I don't follow closely enough to know what happened, but it's certainly the anomaly. Who's the next best in that quarter? MICDS, Borgia, Camdenton???All four are like apples vs. oranges at this point. Of all these you mentioned, though, KTown has the toughest road to even get to a quarterfinal. Districts 3-4 play 7-8 in the semifinals so Kearney would not face the Ladue/WP winner but more likely something like MICDS-Hannibal. Borgia may be a team to watch just, again, not sure about their strength of schedule.True, that district with KTown, PC, and Smithville is a grinder. My bad, for some reason I was thinking it was 1-2 v 7-8 this year.Districts 3-4 play 7-8 in the semifinals so Kearney would not face the Ladue/WP winner but more likely something like MICDS-Hannibal. Borgia may be a team to watch just, again, not sure about their strength of schedule.
Whoever survives D8 should glide to the finals, you would think. I'd say any of those three are better than anyone that 3, 4, or 7 have to offer.Districts 3-4 play 7-8 in the semifinals so Kearney would not face the Ladue/WP winner but more likely something like MICDS-Hannibal. Didn't pattonville lose to a terrible Hickman team ?
There are 32 teams in C6. I'm not too terribly sure how impressed I am outside of the top handful of teams. Just hard for me to imagine a team being very good if it lost to Hickman.Yes, first game of the season. BUT they have beaten #7 in Class 6 Kirkwood (MO) (42-32), #13 in Class 6 Marquette (Chesterfield, MO) (27-10.)
Remember, St. Louis schools are less predictable. They have better athletes, but are not as refined as teams from the West. So their potential for improvement is abundant.
The key word is "should". No guarantees but would, at this point and on paper, agree.Whoever survives D8 should glide to the finals, you would think. I'd say any of those three are better than anyone that 3, 4, or 7 have to offer.
Is this on the regular Pattonville High School fb page?Full game
Pattonville does a Facebook Live student broadcast of every home game...
It looked like the aftermath of the rain on the turf might've played a bit of role in this one, but Ladue looked miles ahead of Pattonville from start to finish regardless. To put a running clock on the Pirates on their field speaks volumes really. The Rams defense continues to impress by holding Pattonville to 235 total yards and now have allowed 55 points (6.8) through eight weeks. They held Sam Sanderson to 54 yards rushing on 12 carries. If it wasn't for the quarterback Andre Webb being so quick then they the Pirates probably would've been held to under 200. Ladue's starter defense has only given up 34 points, which might possibly lead the state. Nobody has gained over 300 yards on them, while most of the points they've surrendered have been in garbage time during games.
I think Ladue beating up on Pattonville, a team who was ranked No. 9 in the Class 6 state rankings last week on the road says a lot.Idk how good Pattonville is. Yes, but that was week one, which was a season ago at this point in time.Didn't pattonville lose to a terrible Hickman team ?
