Kirkwood 36 Ladue 35 Final

As I said earlier this week ...Camndenton might beat Webb but Ladue can't .
Kids at Webb know they are chasing history this year. They aren’t unbeatable but it’s going to take a good team to do it

Camdenton plays the crappy teams in the OC it’s hard to tell what the heck they have but I have a feeling they missed their chance last year

They will have to knock off the #4, #3,.and #1 teams in the state to get to the championship

Kirkwood has 3 legitimate D1 receivers, the QB play is really inconsistent, Kirkwood is not your typical 3 loss team.

I also don’t think Ladue is as good as last couple of years.

Kirkwood has individual talent yes but they aren’t a good team at all. Very soft on defense and in the Trenches. They had no business beating Ladue but this game just gave people all the confirmation they already had about them not being as good as the last 2 years.

Ladue cant run the ball and lost a ton of talent on Defense. Should get through the peon teams but once truly tested they’ll lose

Since some people are quick to judge without even knowing what happened in the game: Ladue had a 28-7 lead and then 35-14 with less than nine minutes to play. They were all over Kirkwood. However, they lost an offensive tackle to an injury and then their other tackle who is also their best d-lineman got ejected. They already were without two other starting lineman and another who quit the team a week ago... Kirkwood is a very battle-tested team who played right with Eureka (8-1) and Francis Howell (8-1), and quite frankly should've beaten Marquette earlier in the season but gave up 35 points in the fourth quarter. The Pioneers execution was rock solid down the stretch which is where their schedule came into play and Ladue's lack of came back to haunt them.

The Rams actually returned the majority of their defense and came into last night allowing eight points per game. They won't see a team like Kirkwood's athleticism the rest of the way and are better at running the ball than you think. They actually are the only team in St. Louis to lead Kirkwood by 20 points or more since they did it last year and then CBC in 2014. An 8-1 Ladue is better than a 9-0 Ladue.

As for Kirkwood they will give Joplin a tough test in the district semifinals. They better not sleep on Kirkwood and their defense better be prepared. If they allow their quarterback to have five seconds to pass then he'll most likely hit someone for at least ten yards. I remember last year people were downplaying Ladue's victory over Kirkwood and we all remember what ultimately happened.

Webb is the only team in Class 4 that can beat Ladue IMO. If they were to play I think Webb wins, but it would be close just like the previous two games. If I were Ladue I would hope Camdenton beats Webb City, but I bet they would like to play Webb again too.

Are they going to suspend the two guys that got ejected or are they going to borrow jerseys from Ritter????

I get that you went to Ladue, so you’re bias is showing. The teams they have played is the reason they haven’t been scored on. Their running game is average.
They will win their district, but there are other 4A teams outside of Webb that can beat them, but hey that’s why we play the game.

Very funny. Ladue is a class program and they'll do the right thing. FYI it's one guy who got ejected.
That is the second time he’s been thrown out of a game this year, that is not a reflection on the program, but wtf is going on with that kid.

Other teams can definitely beat Ladue, but not if the Rams are at their best. Bias or no bias. I've seen Camdenton, West Plains, and other top 10 schools on film. That's just my professional opinion. The only team in Class 4 who would beat Ladue at their best is Webb.

They're still talented enough to win state, but their senior leadership isn't as good and they're strength of schedule I think ultimately hurt them late in the game against Kirkwood. That's why now I think this loss helped them out more than winning the game. They needed a kick up the butt. Yes, their run game isn't as effective but their passing game however has never been better than right now. McIntosh has 50 career touchdown passes, a school record I would assume.
