THE OZARKS
Strafford 21 - Houston 14 at HALF (surprising in the fact that Houston is keeping up, I didn't expect them to get blown out, but expected the spread to be a little more at this point)

Parkview(Springfield) 27 - Willard 21 at HALF (honestly figured it would be 35-14 or so Willard at half)

35-27 Strafford over Houston. Final.

So Houston, who finished tied for 5th Place in the SCA lost to the Mid-Lakes conference champions from Strafford.

Was it the 11 point win over Willow Springs, the 22 point loss to Ash Grove, or the 27 point loss to Salem that convinced you of this?

Oh I'm not sure, just my general knowledge of high school football and how this team has played how they have been playing with very little talent for the last few years. Numbers aren't everything. Anyone can look at a final score and say: "oh that team sucks".

I'm not even a fan of Houston, but they definitely earned my respect this year compared to their performance in years past.

I have nothing against Houston or the SCA. I just get tired of people making statements the facts don't bear out. I did say facts because I used facts rather than opinions.

It isn't that. The SCA is a tough conference and the SRVC is a joke as far as anybody thinking their best 2 teams could compete in the SCA. I have watched for years as the 9-1 / 10-0 champion from the SRVC get inflated win loss records because of the conference. I know it isn't their fault, but I can't stand coaches or players that thump their chests because you won 9 games in the SRVC.

Past performance does not equal future results.
When has ANYONE said the SRVC teams were better?

I have had coaches and players who I won't mention have their say of how they could compete. I think the point was made that the 6th place team in the SCA could compete with the champion of the SRVC. And I promise you year in and year out this will continue. The srvc champion would get 4-5 losses in most years in the SCA. Liberty, Ava. Mt Grove, Thayer, and Salem, (And dont get me started on Salem,_)

Yes, the larger SCA schools are better yearly than the smaller SRVC schools. What are you gonna tell me next? I can say the COC schools are better than the SCA too. What does that prove?
Someone said it was a fact that no SRVC team would finish 6-3 with a SCA schedule this year. That may very well be true but it isn't a fact. Based on non-con games, the SCA seems just a little down this year to me.

What is Thayer's all time record against PC? Not discounting Sarcoxie or AG, but if it comes down to PC against the Bobcats, Pierce City has traditionally held their own. Don't think it matters actually. It will PC/Scratch round 2 for the district.

I will say it again slower., 9 out of 10 years your srvc champ would finish 5th place. Houston is a 6th place sca team and the played with your srvc champ. The guy said it up there, and you made a comment about 20 something point win over willow, something point loss to ash grove, so I decided shut your piehole up with real stats. No pierce city you can not compete with thayer year in and year out. They finished 3 or 4th , Take your chest thumping conference champion who is gauranteed 6-7 conference wins because the rest of the conference is terrible. I said it , everyone else thinks it. Win your srvc conference championships, put your banners up, but when I see them I think it is a facade

I will say it again slower... shut your piehole. What? lol

The usually tough SCA seems to have a more sensitive side this year. A little more touchy feely.

Is there ANYTHING accurate about this post? SRVC champ Strafford? 20 something point win over Willow (it was 11)? Something point loss to Ash Grove (3rd place Mid lakes team by 22)? Compete with Thayer year in year out (who said that)? Who has thumped their chest?

I don't know about chest thumping, but anytime you win 9 football games in one season you should be very proud. It's not like it's easily done.
