Kickapoo vs Rockhurst

Wish the Poo was at full strength for this game. Not having McGee doesn't kill the offense but he kept the offense balanced and defenses on their toes.
Was good for their change of pace.

Rockhurst much too physical for Poo tonight. Having McGee would have helped some, but not enough for Poo to win. If not for an extreme imbalance in penalty calls (in Kickapoo's favor) this one would have been even worse.

I still enjoy seeing our boys play teams like Rockhurst. Good season for us. Now on to Basketball, we still have that state title to win.

Less penalties called doesn't necessarily equal more touchdowns. But we'll go with that I suppose.

Actually.... it was someone else making the excuse as to why Rockhurst didn't win by more..:rolleyes:
So what you said doesn't actually make sense at all. ;););)

I wasn't making an excuse, I was making an observation, based on my actual physical presence at the game. Since I'm a Kickapoo fan, explain why I would be trying to make an "excuse" on Rockhurst's behalf. Two of the three DPI calls against Rock were highly questionable even to the other Poo fans around me. One of these set up Poo's only points and the other set up their best TD opportunity of the night (1st and goal at 2), which they didn't convert. Throughout the first half the game stayed close (6-3 until a Rock TD just before halftime) due to several offensive holding calls on Rock, mostly on running plays. Not saying they weren't legit holds, but there's always an awful lot of holding that goes on by both teams, and a couple of pretty obvious Poo holds were ignored.

Poo played pretty much mistake-free, while Rock had a turnover, 2 missed XP, and a bunch of penalties, and still won by 23. It was just a physical mismatch. No shame in that. We all knew this Poo team wasn't as good as last year's.

The biggest problem for this district is that the OC is not comparable to the schedule these KC Class 6 schools play, and it's about to get even worse, when Springfield Central replaces Joplin after next season. A lot of KC schools are going to be traveling to Kickapoo for playoff games for the foreseeable future. Last year Poo,was legitimately the best team in the district, but most years that won't be the case, regardless of seedings.

I gotta wish Rockhurst good luck. I have a college frat brother whose son is a lineman for Rockhurst so... good luck! (Never expected to be posting a pro-Rockhurst message here LOL)

I'm just going to repeat what I said earlier.
Taking away some of the penalties doesn't necessarily add points to the board for the Rock.
It definitely could. But there's really no way of knowing.

Pretty much 100% of this is spot on.

I watched 2 quarters. The other two I was tending to sick kid.

That could've been a 35 point game. Easy. Kickapoo was no much up front. I would love to see Mr.Merced in blue and white, however....

Don't know if you knew this, but Robbie Merced is the son of former MLB player Orlando Merced. Robbie is committed to play baseball at MSU next year, and should have a bright future there... very good athlete.
