Central Mo has great generals and Keytesville has Maxwell Taylor and Sterling Price. Northwestern is in Mendon and the home of Vern Kennedy, the namesake of UCM stadium.. For a while just south of Keytesville was Dalton Vocational,an all black school ran by Lincoln U in the 50s that had some great athletic programs.
Keytesville is also the birthplace of Cal Hubbard, The only member of both the baseball and football Hall of Fames.
