Kearney 49, Grandview 6 when I exited BEFORE halftime

Started out a bit competitive at 7-6 after Grandview scored on a pair of long pass completions. After that point HOLY COW a total bull rush. Kearney's offense looked scary good tonight folks no matter the opponent and did not have to deploy anything fancy, either.

D appeared to really take it personal after that aforementioned TD. Grandview came in having won 5 in a row. I wondered, after that kinda sloppy first half last week vs. Ray South, what this game would be. MY GOODNESS..................KTown looked very game for ANY opponent tonight never mind class/private recruiting etc. NOT a hometown exaggeration.............

Elite athletes on full display tonight. 56 points in the 1st half. Looked like a video game. TE with three touchdowns on just four touches. Interceptions. Fumble recoveries. A 360 spin move for a long TD by tailback, Petree. Another 70+ return by the best track athlete in the state, Luke Noland.

I definitely have! Gonna be at Fort O hosting Oak Park to wrap up the regular season but wonder what magic will everyone see in Belton next Friday night? My whole sixth sense about this team changed tonight in a very, very good way. It ain't just Minnick, either. These kids are SPECIAL.

You might have noticed the younger Noland brother, with a TD. Already all-state in track as a Frosh. Fastest 40 on that team.

Can anyone in Class 4 slow Kearney down this year? They look elite this year. As a CJ fan, watching some great Webb/Kearney match-ups over the years, I've come to respect the Kearney program. Great to see them back as a powerhouse in the KC metro area.

They play as clean as last night will be a VERY tough out but Center also looked very good and Smithville is the Champs until knocked off BUT St. Mary's, National loss last night notwithstanding, is still the favorite.
