Hat is right QB is good but not enough to beat this team.
Is that 7 on 7 gonna give em issues?Three playoff games like this in a row I have no doubt they will play way better second half but no way to fix what I’m seeing folks.
The issue is something hard to predict which is the schedule. They just flat never played one top QB until tonight. Again no idea why it happened maybe conference did it but this was year for them to play PlatteIs that 7 on 7 gonna give em issues?
Lutheran north wil be all over them because I am again seeing no Kearney passing offense at all. You don’t hide that for the good teams if it was there we’d see it.The issue is something hard to predict which is the schedule. They just flat never played one top QB until tonight. Careful you are starting to sound like Jake.Lutheran north wil be all over them because I am again seeing no Kearney passing offense at all. You don’t hide that for the good teams if it was there we’d see it.
No. Kearney was far far superior up front. Wburg O Line wasn’t bad just faced an elite front the other side of ball was little different from many teams below Smithville in the suburban blue. Was Wburg able to hang with Kearney physically?
Proud of the nixa boys. Glad I picked the right game to attend.

I don't know what Minnick told those kids at half (can only imagine given it was almost a 28-21 shootout and WBurg was passing almost at will) but good lord they took it personal. I counted at least 3 CONSECUTIVE third quarter plays where a Tiger was injured. That was a second half beat down.
Passing at will? They had one big TD pass.I don't know what Minnick told those kids at half (can only imagine given it was almost a 28-21 shootout and WBurg was passing almost at will) but good lord they took it personal. Platte County has the best and most diverse O I have seen in years in this metro area but Kearney's D Line and LBs are the best I've seen as a unit in I don't know how many years, too.
I know Kearney fans don't want to hear it but this pass D is, I am telling you, vulnerable. NOW we likely finally arrive at the one game that everyone saw and had circled way back (I did Week 1 after the Fort game)!Passing at will? They had one big TD pass.
Then he got picked. The second TD was a running sideways across the body on 4th down fluke. The only thing happening T Will was the 11 yards per carry Kearney offense. The second half Burg went negative yards total.

For the record that was the first time all year KMO starting D gave up two TDs (it easily could have been three) BUT as we both pointed out the second half washed all that away BUT gotta come out jumping off that turf next weekend if LN does indeed win tomorrow! Kearney also barely passed the ball but why do it when the power running game goes like that albeit vs. a D that gave up points galore all season vs. a small C4 - large C3 schedule.
If you don't have to pass why would you? They can just power run the ball and win that is the objective win the game.Lutheran north wil be all over them because I am again seeing no Kearney passing offense at all. You don’t hide that for the good teams if it was there we’d see it.
Joey gives zero credit to teams not named Kearney?Passing at will? They had one big TD pass.

Wrong again jacktard. LN has 23 interceptions. Obviously good passing D backfield. Obviously good return game. Good skills players. But you just selectively read posts are just have bad reading skill?Joey gives zero credit to teams not named Kearney?
I mean… I just don’t believe it.
Holy sht. Watched game via MHSSCAM and that 2nd half was brutal. There’s only one place in the world you can hit people like that and it’s on the football field..
That coach should be fired if Wburg QB has serious concussion symptoms today. There were a few times where he got hit in the head and looked like lost awareness and he stayed on field. Replay is easy to see.
He took some of the nastiest hits I’ve seen in recent memory.
To the poster up around garbage tds I concur. #26 didn’t belong on the field. When Kearney put #8 out there the pass D looked unstoppable again….
Maybe one of the most violent games I’ve seen. Also, the power run game is a lot of beef coming down hill, fast. I will be at Kearney next week for LN epicness.
Ball control. Take away the special teams yards. Smash mouth football, if it works will kill the clock and take away LN opportunities. LN will have to overcome their line play. But they have studs in the backfields all over the place.Fluke plays count too but I wouldn’t call that a “fluke” play based on how the QB moved around with eyes up all night, while continuing to take a beating. His receivers were trained well to keep working with him.
If you watched that and didn’t think there are some vulnerabilities in Kearney pass D, then you weren’t paying attention. D line was gassed in 2nd quarter which is expected with only 3 guys playing and some time for them on offense too. That doesn’t mean the defense didn’t turn in a very solid performance though.
Zero pass completions is an impressive feat in class 4 considering the stage of the tournament they are in and the final numbers on the scoreboard.
Kearney vs Lutheran North will be a great one. It’s going to take an elite/complete team to beat Kearney and the same can be said for Lutheran. Winner rolls in CoMo on 12/6.
A few weeks back they put the JR in and scored on 4 straight drives so it is not out of the realm of possibilities.QB1 (#15) is the guy regardless of offensive game plan at this stage of the season.
I really like that kid. What a luxury to have!A few weeks back they put the JR in and scored on 4 straight drives so it is not out of the realm of possibilities.
Covered that in my game summary after getting home. Tale of two halves. If you don't have to pass why would you? They can just power run the ball and win that is the objective win the game.
Biggest weakness is lack of DEPTH. Key in this one (again if it happens - 95 percent it should, though) is be in range come the 4th and wear them down.LN can pass but it’s only 30% of their O.
You don’t want to pass much on LN if you don’t have to. They have 23 picks this season. Their weakness is their lines. They can be run on. And on O they give up sacks.
1/3 of their total yards comes from specials. Eliminate that.
Agree not out of the realm, I would just guess highly unlikely. They have a good QB situation especially considering they are soph and junior.A few weeks back they put the JR in and scored on 4 straight drives so it is not out of the realm of possibilities.
Kicking off into the end zone (one of those last night appeared to clear the uprights my goodness) is also important. Other factor is no slow start. So much more to come once the weekend passes by! If Kearney executes both sides of the ball like they did in last night's 3rd quarter LN is indeed in for it.I will watch LN again this week but if they can score 40+ on Kearney that probably gets the job done I just don't see it happening. If KHS has to throw the ball I think they will put the JR. QB in the game for that but obviously not my decision. I can see that game going either way but it will require LN to score a bunch and so far that just hasn't happened.
