The so-called K faithful will really hate me when I project a Webb turbo click victory over them, SHOULD they manage to get by PC again. And then manage enough offense to get by the lackluster winner of District 7?
Yet, predictions of Kearney's death are once again premature. Conference champs and #1 seed again. Add a district championship, and that would be amazing considering how sputtering and incompetent their new offense has looked at times.

I still feel Kearney will be in the hunt in a few weeks, I still think they are top 4 team in class 4

If they come out and play like last night no doubt about it. Definitely not what I had seen the previous two weeks and pretty amazing. Last week's effort was frankly (and I said at the time) kinda heartless at Staley. This week, their real big test, couldn't have shown more heart! I still will say the O Line worries me going forward. Fix that and who knows.............
BS Kearney got lucky last night as they do golden horseshoe up the tail should have lost that game by 2 scores.
They got robbed by the refs on plays they should have gotten. I think that cost them at least 10 points. So PC better bring it next time if they don't want to lose by 14+

It's very impressive to come off a loss where you are badly beaten, and play really well the next week. That's tradition and pride. Anybody can play the game when things go your way. With that said, both teams lost to Goliath in Staley. I have not seen the separation of elite class 4 teams, versus a class 5 Staley team this wide ever.

Who are you justanotherwebbie because this Kearney team is no 02,03, or any other year they are who they are a team still finding itself with a new coach and plenty of young players playing the game. I doubt you have watched more than highlights this team is still struggling on the Oline and the defensive backfield. QB is just a junior and has made some great throws and some ugly ones but the kid works hard and is giving 110% that being said would be shocked if they get much past districts. The reason the games are played is to get a result and after watching Jamboree my prediction would have been a .500 team Hat will back me up on this I talked to him early in the season. The Staley whoopin may have been just what the doctor ordered these kids just like Webbs are used to winning something about a beating will make you better or worse our kids so far have chosen to make them better. Staley could be best team in state regardless of class in my opinion.
So far, the weakest K team in the past 5 years. The strongest most complete team being the 2013 Class 5 team for K that lost to the D1 laden LSW team with four star all world Harrison burning them on fade routes.
That being said, this is the year PC should step up. They are good. But K lost some opportunities to score more in that game -- a couple times because of horrible calls (completely obvious on TV even without replay.). PC will need to "grab their b@lls" as JFK said at the beginning of the Bay of Pigs crisis. Like Coach Vermiel said, "it's time to take off the diapers" PC. Record: 1-14 versus Kearney.
