KC Suburban White now up on prepskc

Initial speed read pretty much augments where I have thought this league would look pre-season: Platte County is the definite favorite with Fort in close tow then there could be a drop off early in the season but Grain Valley has tremendous pedigree and should be a solid dark horse late in this regular season.

Platte County dropping Kearney and replacing with Washburn Rural is EXTREMELY interesting. No idea the true reason those two Hwy 92 stalwarts parted company and really don't care. This will be one of the marquee MO-KS matchups this season mark it down. Were I not committed to my only local trip vs. Park Hill would 100 percent be at that one!

Chrisman could be the one true "middle class" team here much as I do expect (covered on both sites today) Ruskin to keep improving. The others are very hard reads at what is an obvious guessing point of the season anyway but I feel 99+ percent confident that top three will rule the roost and not lose to any of the others.

I'm not 100% sold on PC as the favorite I think they are in a dogfight with FO for that. GV prolly has no contender for 3 but can be a challenger by districts if they do as they have in the past and get better every week

The other 5 look like a bit of a hodgepodge but perhaps Chrisman-Ruskin vie for #4?

I'd put my $ on chrisman they are 2 steps away from being in the mix with top 3.
They need commitment/buy in. Right now they have 11 kids playing football and not 1 team playing football.

Then they lack discipline. They are more concerned with dancing to pregame music than actually stretching and warming up. Then if they are not the ball handler they get real lazy on blocking.

They are really close to competing but it will take a lot of work.

These are of course observations from last year as I have not seen them this summer

I struggle to put WC or Ruskin above Belton or Raytown. Both those schools have had some relative recent success at times, whereas WC or Ruskin. Ehhh. Raytown always has athletes and from what I heard they aren't lacking right now either. Also have a WR (probably play some DB) that is getting some D1 looks (FCS). And Belton seems to always play most teams, tough for a half before talent always gets the best of them.

What are Raytown's numbers out for FB since Minnick left, though? I attended one game last year in Excelsior looked thinner.
