KC Suburban Conferences predicted orders of finish

Kearney...i would vegas line at:

-7 Kearney over Fort
-3 Kearney over Platte County
-13 Smithville over Kearney
-10 Kearney over Tonka
-14 Kearney over Raytown South
Grain Valley Pick em
-14 Kearney over Grandview.

The addition of a 4.4 receiver...and having 5 all-state track athletes on the field at any given time with 12 returning All Conf players...boosts Kearney to #2 rank in their conf. PC is unknown but severely down in personnel.
The PC coaching staff, in my opinion the best on Hwy 92, is not. I do, however, expect them to struggle some the first half of the regular season. The key, as always over there, is finding the next star QB.

No line on Ruskin?

They have had a string of talented All State QBs...Justin Mitchell, Tanner Clarkson, and Chris Ruhnke. IF they have someone like that this year, good on them, if not they also lost like a ton of talent. Will be interesting to see how they do early on.

Yep at Park Hill South right out of the gate.

How do you have continuity when you are pulling out 4-5 starters a game...all season? Like last year.
IMPOSSIBLE. This is all "jumping the shark" again. Kids are ultra (near zero) low risk for this plus this "variant" is far less deadly than the 99.8% survivable original virus. Don't, by the way, listen to the corrupt as heck CDC.

That may well be wishful thinking Mr. Hat...

Chad does an OUTSTANDING job.
Don't read anything into the Fort Osage game. K likely to have all their starting linemen out for tracking. And then MSHSSA rules on minumim practices will not be met.....so they should cancel I would think.

I'm kind of wondering about picking Tonka and Platte County over K. I know it is track, but this will be the fastest backfield of athletes their team has had in many years. You have 5 to 6 All-Staters from their runner-up Class 4 state team, and a guy on the line that is signed D1, put two other All-Conf line returners. From the Jimmy and Joe standpoint...um...multiple 4.4 to 4.6s on the field all the time. Other areas not sure about, but speed isn;t one of them.

I guess I am wondering about your crystal ball for Platte County? As they lost virtually their entire team.

Platte Co: 2020 19 2020 All Conf Returning: 7 (Big Losses - QB Ruhnke, RB Caden Davis, WR Dayton Mitchell, OL Trey Butcher, DL Keaton Smith, DL Alex Sterns, DB Luke Filger, LB Blane Kuehn)
And that was proven tonight by. pHs

Tonka dismantled in Week 1. As was PC

if so let us know your thoughts
always love the well they lost this they return this folks lol
i mean you act like they are winning the state lol
"Punk Rock tried to Defile the metal, but metal was much too strong." Tenacious D.

Saw Blue Springs lost to an undermanned (Not sure how serious injuries were but 7 kids left the starting defense) Liberty Team.......

K beats the PC team I saw Friday by 21. Same K team at NW camp beat PHS... PC was lucky to not get turbo clocked Friday.

So the excuses have been exhausted - the "Jimmys and Joes" are there? Time to make a move (actually 3 years late...)

k with
More total yards.
More first downs.
More sacks.
More time of possession.

Very untimely turnovers and the fluke 99 yard TD padded the yards for PC.

The pick 6s were ugly.

5.8 yards per car from the RB. 1 yard per carry from the QB for 25 attempts.
Stop having QB run the ball?

Kearney...i would vegas line at:

CANCELLED Kearney over Fort
-21 Kearney over Platte County
-13 Smithville over Kearney
-21 Kearney over Tonka
-35 Kearney over Raytown South
-14 Kearney over Grain Valley

I stand corrected - the excuses have not been exhausted... The QB that looked talented as a Soph is still making the same mistakes (turnovers) that he made as a Soph (when he got beat up behind a bad OL.) Zero development - the QB position was not a problem under the former HC (who was also the QB coach - and was extremely hands on.)

But K will win state in track this year by 15 points.
Lol

Take that one to the track board....assuming the goober governor doesn't cancel track season again.

Track Athelete’s, weight lifters and football players are three different breeds of animals! You can be big and fast but how you react when someone punches you in the mouth reveals what’s inside your chest!

I know where you are coming from, but: Over 60% of 2019 NFL Draft Picks Participated in High School Track & Field. 91% of RBs and 90% of CBs.

Can't punch Tyreek Hill in the mouth when you can't catch his ass.

I know...someone will say this BELONGS on the track board...but take a look at the team and who is getting 90% of the total yards...

NFL draft picks by position, that competed in multiple sports, and specifically track and field.

OL: 36 / 40 (90%) – 60% T&F – 3.7 PAI

DL: 36 / 43 (84%) – 60% T&F – 3.8 PAI

LB: 29 / 34 (82%) – 59% T&F – 3.0 PAI

WR: 28 / 29 (97%) – 66% T&F – 3.6 PAI

CB: 28 / 31 (90%) – 81% T&F – 3.6 PAI

RB: 21 / 23 (91%) – 91% T&F – 3.3 PAI

DB: 16 / 20 (80%) – 60% T&F – 3.2 PAI

QB: 9 / 11 (85%) – 27% T&F – 3.1 PAI

TE: 15 / 16 (94%) – 25% T&F – 3.2 PAI

FB: 1 / 2 (50%) – 0% T&F

SPEC: 4 / 4 (100%) – 25% T&F – 2.9 PAI

The person that made these predictions forgot to tell LN that they were suppose to lose to Liberty and Ray-Pec.

My question last week was "how much does Liberty North win by" over Ray Pec... And the corrected English is "were supposed" to lose. Wake up, boy.

OK lets get this going:

GOLD :

1) Liberty
2) Liberty North
3) Lee's Summit North
4) Raymore-Peculiar
5) Blue Springs
6) Lee's Summit West
7) Park Hill
8) Blue Springs South

THE league of death! Could put those top four (maybe five) in a jar and draw lots and have a better chance figuring out the order of finish!

RED:

1) North Kansas City
2) Park Hill South
3) Staley
4) Lee's Summit
5) Oak Park
6) St. Joseph Central

Top two heads and shoulders above the rest BUT Staley always is deep and talented this year with a brand new HC/system. LS is "maybe" a darkhorse.

WHITE:

1) Belton
2) Fort Osage
3) Raytown
4) Grain Valley
5) Truman
6) William Chrisman

Again take the top three (maybe four) and draw lots. Fort should be vastly improved while GV should "return to Earth" a bit this season.

BLUE:

1) Smithville
2) Platte County
3) Winnetonka
4) Kearney
5) Grandview
6) Raytown South
7) Ruskin

Smithville is HEAVIEST favorite of any of these conferences but look for PC to improve as the season rolls on and be a C5 area factor again. Tonka and Kearney are dead even just like last year (both likely a bit improved overall).

There ya go, KC folks............
Week 7 reality check: GOLD will absolutely be the LN-LSN winner. Liberty coming from off the pace is an interesting one going into district play, though. RED is all PH South. NKC just flat hasn't lived up to expectations and Staley has had all kinds of issues. WHITE looks, even given their limited schedule Raytown's to lose but Fort could take this simply because of playing a full slate (virus related issues seem to be lessening now thankfully). BLUE could not have been more wrong about Tonka. Top 2 playing out but KTown is now clearly #3 here.

Are All the KC blue bloods down?
Blue springs and South are both at the bottom of the conference, Staley is horrendous and Kearney is competing for 3rd place in the conference of the traditional powers Fort O is the only one with a shot for a conference title. What has happened to the usually predictable suburban conference

Fort O? They barely got by a Grain Valley team that should have lost to Kearney by 14, if it were not for four turnovers and Kearney's first and second string RBs (who was averaging 8.3 ypc) going out of the game. LOL

Joey I'm just looking at the standings.... if Kearney had won that game I would be talking about them they did not though
