Stole my idea from last week..............

No, just updating it. We should post every week after results come in. I watched the 4Q of Liberty North v. Lee's Summit North. It lowered my opinion on LN. Short punt and an unforced fumble handed them 14 points in the 4Q. By no means can they beat about three or four of the teams in their district.

As you know Jones used to sit on leads here in KTown. Definitely should have known better and stayed for that finish................just like Smithville vs. PC last regular season.

LN has some big beef on that O line. I think they might lose four of their next 7.

Friday night is going to be interesting in PC based on what I just now heard about Kearney. Some injuries that could affect the game...

I was watching closely during last Friday's game for any sign of injuries...............saw none but know Staley is brutally physical this year. As long as the QB, RB and #1 WR are not part of the injury list K will be just fine. Even if not this is only a Week 3 regular season game.

2 of the 3 you mentioned are part of what I heard a few hours ago.

If you’re Smithville, you have to like where you’re sitting right now. If those injuries plague Kearney and Platte County beats them, only for them to lose to Ray-Pec, they both have two losses before you play either of them.

With that being said, hopefully those injured have full recoveries and heal fast.

I did not include them because of the split.............you do have the right number, though, were they part of this.

Two consecutive years we dealt with injury issues in KTown (2014-15). The former was like a virus..........never got all five top end players healthy and on the field together and it showed especially during the playoffs. The latter was a case of the team pretty much getting 100 percent healthy in time for the playoffs and that also showed.

As for this Friday no idea what to expect but know Staley played with a major attitude last week and probably beat a number of Kearney kids up pretty good. May be a good idea to have EMS ready big time when they host Park Hill Week 8. As long as none of their stars (QB, RB, 2 WRs, LB) are out long term or for the year they will be fine now that they will play their own Class of teams.........

In 2015, K lost Jess Davis for the playoff run. A D1 Baseball player that averaged 22.5 yards a reception. He would have torched Webb in that championship game, but they still got it done without him. UABs freshman of the year.

Hey JN and Top...How about a KC (MO) metro area poll? Or a poll of the teams in the suburban conferences??? I'd be interested. I think I'm probably just going to follow West around, but might take a break a week or two if matchup doesn't look good.

Here ya go based on these two weeks:

SUBURBAN GOLD:

1) Blue Springs
2) Park Hill
3) Lee's Summit West
4) Lee's Summit North
5) Raymore-Peculiar
6) Blue Springs South

1-2 appear to be elite. 3-4-5 a wash.

SUBURBAN RED:

1) Staley
2) Liberty North
3) Liberty
4) Lee's Summit
5) Park Hill South
6) St. Joseph Central
7) Truman

1-2 meet Week 6. As advertised there is no middle class 1-4 miles ahead of 5-7.

SUBURBAN WHITE:

1) North Kansas City
2) Oak Park
3) Raytown
4) William Chrisman
5) Fort Osage
6) Ruskin
7) Belton

Two shockers already in this league and Fort's drop make this appear to be NKC's to lose.

SUBURBAN BLUE:

1) Smithville
2) Kearney
3) Platte County
4) Grain Valley
5) Grandview
6) Winnetonka
7) Raytown South

Another jumbled league. No clear cut favorite just yet.

KC METRO REGARDLESS OF CLASS TOP 10:

1) Blue Springs
2) Park Hill
3) Rockhurst
4) Staley
5) Liberty North
6) Lee's Summit West
7) Lee's Summit North
8) Raymore-Peculiar

Lost one Davis brother in 2014 the other in 2015 you are correct. With Jess would have opened the offense up more ergo "maybe" game would have spread more. Regardless was certainly an upset............

I laugh when the star counters get their jollies counting two and three star football players--because it is easy to forget a football team might have D1 level athletes that have made it clear they aren't playing college football--and don't get rated. But yet, they are out there crushing it in football. See Davis Brothers from Kearney and Platte County QB, Justin Mitchell, drafted by the Royals out of high school, full ride to Oklahoma, from 2016. D1 Baseball.

Mitchell is a TOP NOTCH catcher..............may seem in the majors some day (as previously indicated by him being drafted right out of high school).

Awesome! Thanks Top...Man, that Gold division is just an absolute meat grinder. Will LSW v BSS be worth the 25 min trip? I know BSS is 0-2, but seem to have played a couple of pretty decent teams close. And West isn't exactly loaded like in years past.

Joey I understand you have a strong dislike for all things Liberty but from an unbiased position the lack of offense at Park Hill is going to create a much closer game than I think you are forecasting. Don't expect Liberty North to win but would not be surprised at all by a 17-14 type final.

Thanks! LSW @ BSS worth it? I've got an 8th grader that plays at the West feeder MS. We like to watch West, but aren't opposed to someone else when the game will be a stinker. Just thought by looking at the BSS scores, it should be a game.

I have Liberty North ranked higher than Rock. I don't necessarily dislike Liberty North. This is the Show Me state. Before we say the program is "going the right way" they need some quality wins. They've had two in three seasons (this one included.) If they somehow win this, and beat another quality team, then maybe they are heading the right direction. Liberty has been good in recent years and their coach is good. And I know they have both just transitioned into Class 6--so that isn't easy.

I just don't think Lib North will handle the violence of Park Hill well.

So what youre saying is, a program has to make all the right moves, to show everyone they are headed in the right direction?

Never know especially in this league but I would favor West by about 2-3 TDs. I will see them in person Week 5 when Staley hosts the Titans........

Physical battle royale..............actually the first of a set of games between the Park Hill-Liberty North-Staley triad. Hopefully they don't all eat each other.

What I am saying is...Coach Nickerson...um, I mean, Coach Jones, better start winning the big ones, or there may be some blowback from the boosters. And you know all about Booster Club blowback.

LMAO!! Your best post yet Joey! Perhaps you're Doc Guy material!
I don't like the documentaries enough. Bosko knows way more about boosterin' than I could ever learn. And Mox is about as sharp as it comes, a born leader. I'm just happy being old humble me.
Hmmmm Joey as a Doc Guy. I never thought about that one. Dont think its gonna happen Shoot

I just watched the Dennis Rodman Doc. I forgot that he had dressed as a tranny and got married to himself. maybe joey could be that one.

CR7007...sharing his tranny fantasies on here... Wrong board, buddy, wrong board...that's the other board you spend hours on.
