Smithville played Grain Valley (have these two been fantastic additions to the Sub Blue or what?) who SHOULD have knocked off Platte County so that is one I consider a quality win. This Friday night should be let's-just-say veeeery interesting. How the Pirates handle perhaps the Northland's #1 back regardless of class (Isaac Miller) will likely swing this one.

On the Staley subject I'd bet the farm HC Lite won't allow what happened last week to recur. Injuries aside the Falcons looked very flat. This is a conference game and new next door rivalry............how Liberty North approaches Staley after witnessing that 40-zip performance will be very interesting indeed.

"Flat" ??? I'd say it was more of a physical beatdown. I have not seen Lib. North yet this season, but I have heard that they have excellent size upfront. If that is the case, Staley may be in for another long night at the office.

If you go to this one you will see especially the O Line is huge. One of my long time HSFB buddies from here called LN, on opening night, a bigger better version of Kearney 2009.

I guess I am not sure what "SHOULD have knocked off Platte County" means. Platte County physically dominated that game and won even with a flat offense. If you play that game 10 times, PC wins 8 or 9 times.

Never mind what happened in game..............GV blew a SEVENTEEN point lead!
