Who are the top teams so far? Anyone go to the Slam at St. James? Many of the top teams were competing it looked like? Anyone want to rank so far? Where are all the KC people?

Anybody from Shannon County know if these scores are these scores correct? I was quite flabbergasted at these results.
Viburnum defeated Eminence 25-14, 25-23
West Plains defeated Winona 25-21, 26-24
Per MSHSAA, West Plains finished 5-20-2 last season and Viburnum was 5-19-2.
Are these traditional volleyball powerhouses having rebuilding seasons, or were these just beginning-of-the-season flukes? Did Holthaus not play that night? Something rotten in the state of Denmark. Not trying to take away anything from West Plains or Viburnum; just very dumbfounded by these results.

Eminence isn't that strong this year again. Been rebuilding since Tune left for Liberty.
Winona lost to a decent Class 4 West Plains. Not shocked as you are.
Viburnum, Lesterville, South Iron, Eminence all in the same district which will end up in the Winona sectional.
Funny how the state changes and mixes teams up in the same county to move some miles and miles away.
Winona Leopold Santa Fe are battling for the Class 1 title.

Winona finished second in the Willard tournament last week. Lost to Willard in the finals, it appears they are starting to look a lot more like the Wildcats we expected. Eminence and Winona hook up tonight so it should tell something about where each team is at.
