I am disappointed. None of PA is included on that poll.Stamp it!
I was wondering if Harrisonville really wanted to be lumped in with KC Metro. Their record and history stands for itself, and only makes the KC Metro look better for those who do want to include Harrisonville. It's funny that Harrisonville is considered part of the Metro. Football coverage really only goes about as far south as Ray-Pec and Belton because they are Class 6 and 5 school's. Only time we really get much coverage is during playoff runs. Our local newspaper was bought out by the KC Star a few years back. They don't even give us much coverage anymore. When the paper was bought by the KC Star they also purchased the Belton Star-Harold and Lee's Summit Journal. They then made the Democrat Missourian out of Harrisonville into a county Newspaper. They mostly cover the northern part of Cass County (Belton & Raymore) as well as the 5 Lee's Summit school's.
Simply look at the schedule that they play... they are KC.For what it's worth I know that when I lived in SWMO everyone identified Harrisonville as in the KC area, basically "Oh, that's up there by KC."
And every Harrisonville kid I met at Mo St, agreed with that.

Have to admit I always thought of HVille as 'KC' ... We often stop there coming or going from KC and have for decades. That business with the Star buying out your newspaper??? Awful. Definitely the 'downside' of progress.![]()
